- This is the perfect day trip from Zurich! in 40 minutes, you can be in Schaffhausen, a gorgeous city which is perfect for a quick day trip! In this video we’ll check out Schaffhausen’s old town, visit the Munot Fortress, and of course head to check out the incredible Rheinfall Switzerland (or Rhine Fall). The most powerful waterfall in Europe!

Schaffhausen is super cute. I still remember all the wonderful facades. Rhein falls are nice too. It seems you picked the best time to visit. They really looked magnificent this time of the year.

You definitely got your exercise for the day. Beautiful terrace with a phenomenal view at the top of the castle. Those were beautiful views of the falls. I have to imagine it must have been cold with that mist kicking up.

Yep! Since the early 1800s theyve used for hydroelectric power!
