And you’ll get where you wanna be and once you’re there, “The World is Yours” - Nas. Since it’s mine, and you told me I can’t, I’ll drop it on your fucking head
How good is Em? Give Wayne, undoubtedly one of the best spitters of this generation, 2 verses to Em's 1 and he still kills him. Hop up in his spaceship and leave earth, they don't need this world, they've transcended this place and all those who holding onto it, they gonna drop it they fucking heads!! Any rapper has that effect on anyone if they are really about trying to top the other rapper or keep up. Rap music isn’t just Eminem lol I’m a very big fan of his but I also don’t put him over the rap game.
The way I interpreted it, pick the world up as in take over the game being one of the top dogs and having the world rock with you. Then drop it on your head as in show all the people that doubted you, hated you, slept on you, and tried to hold you back that you came to take over the world and be one of the best to do it.. and drop it on they head-top.
Love your videos, on this one though, y'all missed the meaning of the coldest line on the entire song. Eminem said " Sleep on me, that pillow is where you head'll lie, permanently bitch it's beddy bye!" In 2009 Lil Wayne on Forever said "I'm resting in the lead I need a pillow and a cover" He decapitated Lil Wayne on his own song! That's how cold EM is.. Lil Wayne didn't even pick up on it.. lol. Now knowing that when you go back and listen to it you will realize a lot of what he is saying is mostly pointed towards Lil Wayne.. Before all this at the height of his career, Lil Wayne brought Eminem's name up a few different times then one time said that he wanted to do a feature with him but joked that maybe Eminem was afraid.. That's why EM said, better be careful when you bring my name up in this feature... #DECAPITATED
@@jamesrhodes6073 em killed Wayne when when he said that pillow is where your head'll lie, permanently. Cause in forever Wayne said, I'm resting in the lead, I need a pillow and a cover.
“Pick the world up and drop it on yo head” means you use the weight of the world that you have in your personal lives, pick it up on ya shoulders.. and drop it on yo fuckin head!! As you get older more shit gon happen to you.. weather it be self inflicted or shit that happens to u because of other people.. you use that to go hard, succeed, and get to a happy in life.
When you have problems it often is said you are carrying the world on your shoulders. Pick my problems up (the world) and drop em on your head. Your head is your brain, ears, eyes, etc… you will see my problems, hear my problems, and think about my position in life with these problems. Pick the world up and drop it on your head…..
I feel so old knowing I was like sixteen or seventeen when this song was released. This was an absolute banger of a track though. I am and was a huge fan of Wayne, but Em’ just killed it. This Em’ was different to the Em’ of today. He had fire after returning to rap after his lay-off with addiction. He was more evolved as a rapper than the Eminem or Slim Shady we knew in the past. But he still went hard. Even a below mediocre and old Em’ kills all of these new cats, lyrically. For the record Slim Shady was prime Em’. But the game changes. Personally, I prefer 90/early to late 2000s rap. Like everything else, social media has ruined hip hop and what it used to be. Thankfully, we are still blessed with the likes of Kendrick.
He’s saying put the weight of the world on your shoulders… also “sleep on me that pillow is where your head will lie” is a bit at Wayne’s verse in forever… he says Easter egg because it’s hidden metaphor
The metaphor is that he is Atlas carrying the world. ATLAS was the Titan god who bore the sky aloft. He personified the quality of endurance . Atlas was a leader of the Titanes (Titans) in their war against Zeus and after their defeat he was condemned to carry the heavens upon his shoulders.
The pick the world up and drop it on your head part, look I want noone any harm ever and I'm a really nice guy to the point where its not doing me any good. BUT - when you go through shit in life, keep on trying, learn from mistakes, grow and climb, improve - yet instead of getting rewarded with peace just have life throw even more pain and suffering at you, when you have been wrong about things not being able to get worse than the worst that has ever been - all that fuels something very deep inside of you. A nuclear core with limitless energy constrained only by your own willpower and strength. I can feel it, and no artist has ever made any lyrics I could resonate with better than the ones in this song with the drop world sentence being the peak of it all. The best way I can put the meaning of it is basically this: You (life,God,universe, all other people) can throw whatever you want at me. This fire burning inside of me just keeps on burning more and more, the suffering and pain is the heat that makes the sun feel like ice. Keep going, I'm not gonna break, throw all you got at me, worst thing that can happen is you kill this body I'm in at the moment but it won't make any difference - I'll keep on guarding that limitless energy, the nuclear core, its in my soul and killing me doesn't change anything because "rebirth motherfucker". But if it ever got to the point where I allow myself to let this accumulated pain, suffering, energy just explode- which I won't as It is my duty, my role in the universe to guard it and protect you all from it, keep all that shit away from infecting the rest of the world - If I allowed it to happen, allowed myself to get so fed up that i leave my post and let it loose......well I will then literally pick this whole rock of a planet up with my bare hands and smash it into pieces by dropping it right in your head. It's the ultimate destruction of anyone and anything, everyone and everything- and that's the kind of power you (life, universe, people) have given me by trying to break me. And by that you have made me immortal, as at this point and since long the power, the fury buried inside of me, has reached a point where whatever you throw at me will only increase all that and if it at all were possible to throw too much at me and actually break me, you are then only breaking the only thing that protects you from me using the power needed to destroy the universe just to destroy you. The most brutal overkill that could possibly be, limitless power inside of me, even god would be a fool to mess with me. Its not a threat, its not violence or menace - its love, a description of all the pain I've absorbed so that you don't have to.
No Love and Drop the world are gems, man ngl I wished these two made more music together.
I don't think we could handle a full duet album with them.

You guys definitely need to check out ALL of the bad meets evil songs. Em (evil) and Royce da 5’9” (bad) collabed on a song on Eminem’s first album slim shady lp, at the end the day “see you in hell for the sequel”. So years and years later they dropped an album called “Hell: The Sequel”. You guys MUST react to that album. Start with Fast Lane and Welcome to Hell!!!!
Great recommendations ... phenomenal.
yah yah, royce black thought and Em, is a must
"Bad Guy" by Eminem, and "The Greatest" from his Kamekaze album
I feel like the chorus means, no matter what hardships you face, no matter how many people tell you “you can’t”, no matter how much life is constant struggle to get to the top, you won’t let it stop you. And you’ll get where you wanna be and once you’re there, “The World is Yours” - Nas. Since it’s mine, and you told me I can’t, I’ll drop it on your fucking head
You guys should react to Almost Famous and Soldier by Em. I promise itll blow your mind
Soldier 🔥
you got to remember wayne ask eminem not to body on these songs your reacting to
His confidence is so great, he’s so grand that he’s big enough to pick the world up
We need more of Eminem
no love is another dope colab they have
React to bad guy by eminem trust me last verse 🔥🔥🔥
I've also recommended that several times 😁👌
T.i ft Eminem - That's all she wrote,
This song will blow your mind
How good is Em? Give Wayne, undoubtedly one of the best spitters of this generation, 2 verses to Em's 1 and he still kills him. As far as the significance of Dropping the world, he says it right in the hook. Hop up in his spaceship and leave earth, they don't need this world, they've transcended this place and all those who holding onto it, they gonna drop it they fucking heads!! Much love y'all keep gettin it.
LIL wayne's first verse alone was clearly above Eminem's
@@Damian72510 I'm just going by what they said.
Atlas. Holds the earth and heavens on his shoulders. Many statues as well
Also the bar of “sleep on me that pillow is where your head will lie” is a shot at Wayne for what he said in Forever “I’m sleeping in the lead need a pillow and a cover”
Yep, EM is cold.. That's why he said, better be careful when you bring my name up.
"
Pick the world up and drop it on your head." Blow your mind
You also dye eggs for Easter..
Wow so complex
Music 🎵 box 📦 EM 🔥👍🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wayne’s best work is when he made music with eminem. Em inspired him to write amazing verses cuz he knew Eminem’s would be fire
Mad cap lol people do write a little better with em but no ceilings n the dedication mixtapes are fucking fire n that’s way before he hoped on with em. Em is god tier but don’t need to make shit up to add to his already goated status
@@nathandrivelordkingalwaysr513 it’s true tho kanye and lil Wayne rewrote their verses on Forever because of ems verses
@@sccdddf1595 oh and by the way, not to take anything away from em, but he rewrites verses as well. Most documented was the calm down track with busta rhymes
@@nathandrivelordkingalwaysr513 I agree, but generally speaking em does make the person he’s featuring with better, whether that be by adding to their lyrics, complimenting their flow or whatever it might be
@@sccdddf1595 lol again read my comment dude, I never said he wasn’t capable of that, I simply stated wayne is a spitter em or not on the feature. Jesus You’re staning out right now only focusing on that I said stop trying to add to his goat status.
PLEASE DO EMINEM "Rabbit Run" I swear it will be one of the best eminem songs u ever hear
Don't Push Me and Rap Game are 🔥🔥
Love your videos, on this one though, y'all missed the meaning of the coldest line on the entire song.
This channel is becoming one of my top reaction channels and I just subscribed a month ago
Y’all should check out Home Remix by Mike Dimes and J.I.D
World = his people his culture his world his guns his mindset his grind his world, drop them on your head.
Fun Fact: Lil Wayne actually rewrote his verse after Eminem spit his💯
And Wayne killed Eminem on this song 💯
@@jamesrhodes6073 you whack. 💯. Eminem destroyed Wayne the guy lover. His ex boyfriend is Bird man.
Wayne did go hard. 🔥
@@jamesrhodes6073 em killed Wayne when when he said that pillow is where your head'll lie, permanently. Cause in forever Wayne said, I'm resting in the lead, I need a pillow and a cover.
@@jamesrhodes6073 he didnt kill em on this song both much needed verses to complete this masterpiece of a song.
Can you react to "Evil twin" by Eminem
I agree with my boy but I think the “Easter egg prepare to die” bar is a double because you “dye” eggs for Easter either way it’s a dope bar!!!
“Rabbit Run” … absolute fire
Rittz- Bounce, In My Zone, Switch Lanes all BANGERS
Crazy huh.. super Confidence to take on the world.. great song when I want to feel powerful!
This song is the only little wayne somg i know from heart amd i love it
Two legends
T.I. & Wayne Wit Me 🔥
Yes. No apologies. It's a must.
So much love for you guys. All the way from Africa
When he says the pillow is where your head will lay his referencing what lil wayne said in forever so his basically slaying lil wayne on his own beat
50 cent ft eminem- psycho, my life
Eminem-Music box. Lets get it
He’s saying put the weight of the world on your shoulders… also “sleep on me that pillow is where your head will lie” is a bit at Wayne’s verse in forever… he says Easter egg because it’s hidden metaphor
King Los - Control
This the song that got me started to listen to rap
Wayne and Em always 🔥
"Wisdom is bleak and that's a word from the wise" 👈👀🔥🔥🔥⚡
“Stole that clock, I took the time”🥶
I appreciate this one. When you can react to Bad Guy. Keep up the good work.
But you also dye Easter eggs. Great reaction. Y'all get me hype.
no rapper has ever had his musicality. the songs he made were unique pieces of art that didn't compare to other rap songs.
They pick the world up and drop it on your head to blow your mind
The best way I can put the meaning of it is basically this:
You (life,God,universe, all other people) can throw whatever you want at me.
I’ll be playing this with them on 7/18/23 in Milwaukee.
8 YEARS LATERRRRR
