- Lauded by poets for their wonderful, uplifting song, larks are rather nondescript birds when seen. There are two species regularly found in Britain and Ireland and their ranges and habitats do overlap, so how can we tell them apart?
Most beautiful bird and also found in pakistan in spring seasson.

We lived in Texas on a hill overlooking 35 acers and a pond I remember the skylarks singing on a cool morning I was 7 and loved exploring the field and watching the sun rise. It was like heaven and I would love to have stayed there forever.

Great video for identifying this beautiful bird. Spent last night trying to spot this bird. I knew he was up there hovering somewhere but he eluded me. I only have to hear his song and long hot summer days are reminded of. Well done 👍

Saw Woodlarks on Oileán Gabhla (Gola Island) off coast of Gaoth Dobhair (Gweedore) in Donegal, Ireland July 2015. Song is unmistakable. Will try to film them this summer. Thanks for the info : )

Imagine being raised on Dutch Farm House in the deep South and remembering vividly the beautiful landscape of Southern Limburg and hoping to find a video sharing the sounds of a Skylark ... triggering nice memories then you hear a LADY TALKING THROUGH IT :(
Where can I find Skylark sounds in high quality recordings without any interruptions?
They look a little like female sparrows, both. Wish female sparrows were such great singers too :) Had a flock residing near our previous accommodations.

My only complaint was having to listen to the Woodlark flight call, with too much voice over. Otherwise a great ID video from the BTO.
