It can have 5 energy hardpoints, 1 large ballistic hardpoint and a small missile hardpoint. I'm thinking the play is to find the best combo of all of the weapons and make a hunchback-type mech. UAC5, LRMs and 5 ERMLAS is the most obvious combo. 3 ERPPC would be fun for the right missions (bring back the poptart meta), but the dps is really low. LRMs are probably the best, though.
The UAC5+5erml wasn't horrible, but not great. My autocannons aren't upgraded at all, but it managed to kill the target range atlas pretty soon after the 3rd laser burst. It isn't quite as armored as the 8erml loki and the heat is full by the end of killing the Atlas, though. Then it would be harder to get all of the ac rounds on the ct at range. A jump jet mad dog with 7 or 8 pulse lasers would still probably be better, even.
SRM should never be used as single weapon. They work best with Small Lasers: MadDog and Timber can make it works quite nicely. Snipe the Torso with Laser first, get angry because the enemy survives on 1 HP, then finish off with SRM. Or the other way around.
Just out of curiosity Iknow that you use pc was wondering if you could list base armor. I noticed that some of my builds using your build armor and alpha seem to different via platforms. Thanks
I made a build with this loadout for my playthrough for yuichi. Kept running out of ammo. No extra armor. Switched to SRM4s to help make it better. Still not great
@@TTBprime I don't know. I used to play Mercs with the Archer Hero using SRM4/6 with Artemis. I could maneuver in as the team took initial fire and blow the leg off anything short of higher weight assault mech with one salvo due to being able to put almost all the missiles on one location.
@@KodyFurlong I did it by using an Arctic Cheetah and replaying the first Courchevel mission- it has the shut down assault mechs so even if you yourself don't get all the live ones, you're guaranteed some kills. Obviously you're very vulnerable in a light mech so have to keep mobile. Arctic Cheetah works well since you can stack small lasers which are high dps
Courchevel sound like a better idea, but there are 2 assaults early on in the 1st turtle bay mission. I think if you die but eventually finish the mission they count, so you could farm those 2, assuming that works. Maybe weaken them with another mech and let the light finish it off using chain fire. Verify that dying and finishing works: I just know I got an odd number of heavy kills when farming the trial mission and I think that's how.
Im actually surprised at how ineffective it is, I was expecting alot more from that kind of build. Definitely needs a buff for sure.
Tighter spread and better convergence, lower cooldown, and faster missile speed are all good initial steps.
Generally, if I’m using short range myself, I use the streaks and the streak force as they have the best DPS
I don't think I used standard SRM's once in my playthrough. Streak SRM's and LRM's felt so much better to use

It's more likely a difference in research

MechWarrior 5 Clans 🤝MechWarrior Online
Having a disappointing representation of the Summoner
SRMs are pretty terrible in this game. Ditched them early on.
I recall MW5 Mercs had stream missile weapons, both srm and lrm. How come clans didnt get those ? It would easily solve the spread problem.
Streams are even worse. Now you're adding a time component to lower effective dps and increase face time.

SRMs are completely ineffective compared to mercenaries.
mw5merc/clan new ai are just tribble for short range weapon since elite enemy has 100% to hit chance for 300m.
Piranha - please, please, please balance the weapons in this game. Playing with lasers every mission is *boring*
Summoner sucks. Absolute rubbish by PGI. Was on release, hasn't been improved worth a damn by those jackasses. Waste of money.
What the best way to do the achievement to kill 25 assault mechs in a light mech?

u need to rerun sim multiple time. there is early mission has 1 assault .
