yes, I honestly prefer this 40 minutes hide and seek video, is a lot more entertaining to watch, the short videos feels like it cuts a lot and a other things feels without context

I would love to see a Sardines version of this. Only one hider and everyone else looks for them, when a seeker finds the hider, they must hide with them. You do this until the last seeker finds the stack. This will lead to 7 Marios in one spot. Could be a good time.
That’d be interesting because in that version, the incentives for seekers would be completely flipped from the “normal” game - rather than trying to work together to prevent the remaining hiders from achieving a high score, they’d want to keep the other seekers in the dark as to their discoveries, so that if they do find the hider(s), the others won’t immediately be able to join and start racking up time (I’m assuming that time hiding is still this game’s score).
That might disincentivize talking about the game as you’re playing, because you’d never have any reason to let *anyone* know what you’re up to, but on the other hand, the end result of that might be a two hour stream where a bunch of people play SMO while talking about literally anything else, which would probably be incredible.
@@Pablo360able You could play it with the gamemode as it already is - just say that the person with the seeker role is the hider and vice versa, and the winner is the person with the lowest amount of time spent 'hiding' (seeking). When you find the hider, you just run into them to respawn as a hider.
Though that could lead to an exploit where some people just watch the Odyssey (or wherever it is you respawn) and, when someone respawns, follow them back to the hiding spot. =S
@@MetaKaios simple solution to that is to just stay in the Odyssey after death
@@minicraftersunitehello3522 A simpler solution might just be a slight tweak to the code so that touching someone marked as 'seeker' would just change you to a seeker without killing you. Prevents the spawn-camping problem while also allowing the Marios to crowd the same hiding spot like sardines.

To be honest editing 8 perspectives isn't too hard, it just takes a very long time, especially if the streams are like 4 hours long. You just stack the footage on top of one another using separate tracks, then you can sync them up using the audio waveforms and just make a supercut version. Then it's just a matter of deleting parts of the other pieces of footage to show one perspective at a time.

At this point, if you DON'T drain the moat, you're practically throwing. Also, thanks for the longer video this time around. With the short ones, I couldn't really keep track of anything. But the longer ones keep previous context relevant.

I have seen so many perspectives/ cuts/ edits of these same few hide and seek rounds and I am still not tired of them
Yeh, each video has it's own way of editing and when there's so much time each round, there's always a lot that gets cut each video, so different video can have completely different parts

@@endgame6023 no but she was a few minutes behind CJ who won. She could’ve won too because she was the last one found in the final round, and the seekers stopped searching for her unless CJ added more time to his subathon he was doing at the time

Definitely like this more, but don’t want to break the back of whoever is editing. It’s already insane that you guys pull footage from each stream together and line it up. Makes for some seriously quality content though.
The fact that Craftyboss, @sign, and all the other modders have revived the Mario odyssey community and also broken through the limits of the game. You love to see it

Thank you so much for this longer re-edit. The original version was fun, but this format really needs a longer video to appreciate everything going on. The original version felt like highlights without the context to appreciate them.

Hey poo have you ever thought of cops vs robbers as a multi-player game? Have the Odyssey as the jail and maybe 3-5 sorta of hard to get captures. 3 cops vs 5 robbers. Im not quite sure what would be fair cause I never played the multi-player but just an idea.

Definitely appreciate the longer video. With 8 people it's become really hard to keep track of what's going on with a 20 minute video with a smash cut every 4 seconds. I literally just came from the short version and I still watched this all the way through just to know what I missed lol
A good game of hide and seek is a mindgame. You can't be in the obvious spots, but once they've all been checked thoroughly, it becomes a perfect spot to slip into.

Video idea for Mario Odyssey multiplayer:
Among us - one / two people are the impostors and can kill people by touching them. There are emergency meetings, and dead body reportings. Tasks are moons - collect as many as you can before the impostor wins. Scoring system can work well - however many moons you collect is your score. As a ghost, you're normal but invisible to other players, and can collect moons, though they won't go towards your point counter, they will just take away the moon so people who are still alive cannot collect them. This would be so cool to see!
I think that mostly just becomes tag instead of among us, which is okay
