video best without music blasting in your ears, still awesome. guy: N/A is fun , trying to make power TURBO is the way to go. me: watching it go into flames, yup turbo is the way to go.
Sik car i wna do a swap when mine blows my budddy has a 5.3 in good shape for 300$$ but from what i hear in your video 5.3 is not the way to go i wna keep it N/A i dont need 700hp lol i wna make it a semi daily. Any pointers for me?
@@Efspeedworks if im runnin it N/A prob guna go aluminum block to keep the weight down did they make any 5.3 aluminum block i can get a good ls for 300 right now for $300.00 and i have plenty time my 330i had 200k but i just fixed all the normal e46 probs with leaks and new water pump
you want the iat sensor in the intake manifold. you don't want your sensor reading 100° when the motor is actually seeing 200°. bad news bears if so. it may heat soak while you're idling, but as soon as air starts moving past that sensor at speed, the heat soak is gone almost instantly
I was having horrible problems with the na motor. Moved it and no issues. It's had the iat where it is for almost 2 years and it didn't seem to have any problems. I'll throw another in the intake and see how much of a difference it is. It was heatsoaking cruising. Like bad. Even with hood vents.
@@jhelmick82 interesting. I have an aluminum intake manifold and don't have terrible heat soak but again as soon as air starts moving through the intake piping it comes down almost instantly
My thought pattern is the air moves pretty quick at wot or even partial with boost. So I wonder how much radiant heat the air would pick up from the manifold and hot charge pipe. I have the sensor on the cold side of the intercooler right in the end tank
Ditch the music on your drives, nobody wants to hear music, I wanna hear what the engines sounds like, especially when your on it.
We have tried the wind noise is terrible we are trying new things to be able to do that, trust me so do I
@@EfspeedworksI watched this a year ago and now doing the same thing to mine now and I can’t wait for it to be done
@@kevinsimmons2815 that’s awesome! #lsallthethings

@HealthAndStrength666 it’s extremely difficult to catch sound without the wind overpowering the sound of the car .

5.3 is perfect with good intake,a cam, headers and a tune is plenty of fun.

So what motors in the car? A 5.3 or a 6.0?
6.0 out of a 2016 Silverado

I still have plastic manifold. So only place I can put it is in the ic pipe right above rad
It runs a lot better even at idle
