  • @otaythen

    I think it's worth mentioning that there's some inaccuracies here. lowering the red increases cyan. lowering the green increases magenta, and lowering the blue increases yellow. understanding the relationship between RGB and CMY is important, as well as the difference between the color curves the exposure curve (but lightroom automatically links RGB together, not really offering a seperate exposure curve. I'm nitpicking here but it can be a big difference when color grading in resolve or other programs)

      @MeiosisMaster 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use the tone curve with pretty much every photo. In my opinion it’s the best tool for adjusting contrast and brings a lot more focus to your subject. It can be pretty scary at first though because your colors and skin tones will likely look way off, but I usually fix that with the hsl sliders and the brush tool 😊

  • @MORTRAX
    @MORTRAX 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    The tone curve is amazing, because it doesn't introduce halo's like de basic sliders do. so do minor adjustments with the basic sliders, but it also depends what you're going for.

    What is the difference adjusting contrast in tone curve and in basic options.. And adjusting colors in tone curve and while split toning... Isn't it the same or? 😅

    • @MangoStreet
      @MangoStreet  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      it's similar. contrast in basic is likely a standard S curve - so the tone curve gives you more control over how the contrast is added. same with the RGB curves and split toning - except split toning is just a far easier way to accomplish color in the shadows/highlights.

      sadbravesfan well, the tone curve does the same but even more specific to your liking. what you can do with the RGB is adding saturation to the shadows without adding saturation to the rest of the photo: pull down the bottom left (close to the corner but not there) of each color after plotting 5 points at the corners, middle, and sides of the middle

    Thanks!

    • @MangoStreet
      @MangoStreet  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that's a lot of locations. we usually prefer to just do it by hours and start by putting a price on your hours based off what you want to earn. take into account the more photos you take, the longer you'll spend culling and editing. if you've never charged for photography before, $50 is the lowest i'd go. the experience is more important than the money at this point in your career. if you feel more comfortable in your abilities, $200 is a solid number, assuming a 2-hour shoot.
