OMG...Florida Breakz are the best...Friction and Spice, Baby Anne, DJ Icee/Icey...Firestone in Orlando and Barbarellas...those nights in 95-97 were absolutely mind blowing...you were there for the music and the vibe...people talk shit about Florida..but the music coming out of the Sunshine State during the 90s was magical

I was lucky enough to catch the tail end of this scene when I moved from New Smyrna Beach to Orlando in 1999. My Orlando friends were Glowstick masters and took me to another planet. Its a shame these new EDM kids don't actually Dance because that's part of what made the scene so cool.

911 from 88-94 had the best DJ’s. Best music ever in there. There was a little club in Gainesville that played the same stuff in mid to late 90’s. DNA when it was on Nebraska and Bearrs was the bomb on Monday nights. Old wave. Until it went to Parthenon then it went downhill when it went downtown Tampa.

Wanted to play them at a tempo that feels warm and relaxed for people to get perhaps the same feelings they had 20 years ago ... in a new way with the benefit of time for perspective
