In this video, we talk about the deadly effects of poisonous paint on our Ganesh Murthis. The paint on our idols contains lead which is mixed with water. Later on, the same lead goes into our body through the salt and fish that we consume. In short, we are slowly poisoning ourselves by using Ganesh idols with paint. Let's be responsible and use paint-free eco-friendly Ganesh idols. Here are some links we found. We follow the permanent idol philosophy and along side the permanent idol we also keep a coconut which is treated just like the Ganesha and that's is what we immerse in water for visarjan. My family is buying only clay idols for the past 6 years, please people do not buy POP idols...
You can just google that last year only 2% POP idols were immersed it means 98% were eco friendly.Abhi and niyu forgot to tell that Hindus are demanding eco friendly idols on a great level from 2010 and the demand increased to 100% by 2016. We are aware yes we care everything more than anyone else.

haldi idol is the best. i am worshipping for consecutive 4 yrs and it is the most safest and devotional way to worship vinayak and i feel very emotional while making his idol before the day of ganpati

I have asked my family and told these options of buying eco friendly ganpati
First they dissagreed but then I forced them so they did agree to buy an eco friendly ganpati
True! I realized this a few years ago & made a decision to only buy Ganesha murtis that are eco-friendly, if can't find one I made the murti from my plants' soil & did Ganesh Visarjan in a bucket of water. Using that water to water my plants, no waste out! This year I bought a small gobar se bani hui murti & contributed my part in reducing pollution.
