One time I simmed NASCAR 06 until 2019, Greg Biffle got 8 championships , and Jimmie Johnson got 5
For some reason I just love this comment
Jimmie got 10 championships, Harvick got 4, Biffle got 3, Dale Jr got 1, McMurray got 1, and Kyle Busch got 1 in my first 20 years of one.
Wish that was our reality
Thats funny i did the same on chase for the cup & jimmie got his 5 in a row
Bobby Labonte decided to become Jimmie Johnson
Off by bout a year and a win
If Gibbs had kept one great crew chief with Bobby, he might very well have won another championship and more races. They kept taking away all the good crew chiefs Bobby had (Jimmy Makar, Fatback McSwain).
@@DavidJ867 Yup!
As a Bobby fan I wish lol
Dale Jr with over 100 wins and 3 championships? I’m living in the wrong reality 😔
As a Gordon fan I would be in heaven except for the championship drought
@@gh1studio9 Well, that happens either way I guess. At least he ends up with a fuck ton of wins.
I KNOOOOOW NASCAR THUNDER SIMULATED SEASONS ARE THE FUCKING BEST, THEY ARE A GUILTY PLEASURE OF WASTED MEMORY CARD SPACE 😆😆😆
@@gh1studio9 if you see the nt2003 sim from kamikaze, Jeff has 8 championships
Jeff Gordon with 49 more wins than Richard Petty!?
*Impossible*
Eric Fording very possible
"Why isn't it possible?!"
"It's just not..."
Improbable but according to Nascar 04… not out of the question
Barney Hall, boy scout during the second world war, successful author, 1972 Raleigh catch of the year winner and 2015 NASCAR cup series Rookie of the year, they say he really did everything in his long life
1986 - 2001 = 15 years = Waltrip's first win
2001 - 2016 = 15 years = Waltrip's third win
Mike Joy: "Thirty year's of fire, thirty years! A frustration! Michael Waltrip will win the Coco Cola 600!"
DW: "Have you ever?"
Larry: "No, I've never!"
On a serious note, this is one of the greatest video ideas, ever.
imagine getting 14 wins and only finishing 8th in the final points standings while a guy with 2 wins takes it all
Ricky Evans Matt Crafton won the truck series championship without winning a single race, just by beat every other driver in the points. Think it was 2017 but I'm not 100% on the year
@@OutcastGrim2424 I'm pretty sure it was last year
@@OutcastGrim2424 It was 2019
Dale Sr. Won a championship with only 3 or 4 wins, while someone else had 10 wins in that season....... its not about how many races you win kid, its about consistency....
The season of this game, 2003, that kinda happened with Matt Kenseth winning only 1 race yet he won the last Winston Cup.
Also Good to know Gordon has a "20 years of trying, 20 years of frustration and Gordon will win the championship, finally.
The real life Petty Enterprises died after 2010 too
2008 actually. Richard Petty Motorsports came into the scene in 2009.
Scott Wimmer finally gets his rookie ride in 2022. Sign of a comeback???
Coming back with dodge and caterpillar as a main sponsor 😂.
I'm happy for the 83 year old rookie of the year.
Well good to know Bobby is the greatest Nascar 04 simulation driver ever.
Gordon is like Hamlin. He wins a million 500’s but can’t get a chanpionship
Jeff Burton is the king of the All-Star Open
As someone who is interested in stats and alt-universes, I legitimately enjoyed this. I've always been looking for someone who could document even 10 career mode seasons, as most stop at 5 at most, because they have won the title by then, and the game gets too easy, so I never get to see the long-term ramifications.
If you like statistics that much, may I suggest PSL Racing? He made a lot of videos on “every season of an F1 game”, and the results get wild.
Channel here: th-cam.com/users/PSLutonrules
wish people in games like this would go past 5 seasons for the sake of trying to help other drivers get titles (like kg's casey mears series)
And I for one welcome our Labonte overlord.
I did a simulation for a couple seasons in Thunder 03. In the first season, Ricky Craven won 33 races and the championship. Next season he won 25 races, but lost the championship to Tim Sauter, the rookie who won only 1 race. He won every race in 2004, then only won 2 more races in the next 17 years.
How Does Ricky Craven win 33 races and a Championship with PPI Equipment?
@@zh2motorsports867 you mean… why not?… in PPI equipment
@@stormkelleh Dude
PPI Motorsports was a dumpster fire and a half.
The fact that anyone even got a top 20 in the 32 car is shocking
@@zh2motorsports867 keep in mind, it's a simulation, so basically Hendrick during Gordon and Johnson's Reigns as perennial title competitors has the same chance of winning as Front Row Motorsports in the 2000s, where they had an army of start n' parks, or any start n' park team
In doing some testing for a series I want to do on this I realized the main drivers just stay forever lmao. Please sim NASCAR 07 Fight To The Top for 20 seasons and keep track of everyones wins.
Apparently this isn't true. Somehow Kamikaze made it to where Stewart, Gordon, and Earnhardt, Jr. were replaced by other drivers.
@@BrendenNichols Yeah i simmed a career mode in this game and tony stewart retired with 8 chamionships, but it was late into the career (2019-2021 maybe)
Hi Darian
For what the first 2 replies said:
1) If you make a driver finish absolutely terrible in points they can retire
2) A driver auto-retires when they get 8 championships, including you
I did this with NHL 2003,
Sergei Federov ended up getting a 312 point season, over 165 goais a year 5 seasons in a row and the Blue Jsckets ended up as 12 time cup champions
man i wish they went into this much detail still on NASCAR games. Career stats and everything lol
I've done this in season mode and wow... by 2022 so many drivers had retired that only 40 cars were starting each race, which is funny indeed because NASCAR ended up cutting the field to 40 cars in real life. And Dale Jr. ended up getting like 6 championships with around 120 wins
2003: Bobby Labonte (2nd championship)
2004: Bobby Labonte (3rd championship)
2005: Bobby Labonte (4th championship)
2006: Tony Stewart (2nd championship)
2007: Ryan Newman (1st championship)
2008: Ryan Newman (2nd championship)
2009: Bobby Labonte (5th championship)
2010: Tony Stewart (3rd championship)
2011: Dale Earnhardt Jr. (1st championship)
2012: Matt Kenseth (1st championship)
2013: Ryan Newman (3rd championship)
2014: Bobby Labonte (6th championship)
2015: Bobby Labonte (7th championship)
2016: Dale Earnhardt Jr. (2nd championship)
2017: Matt Kenseth (2nd championship)
2018: Dale Earnhardt Jr. (3rd championship)
2019: Ryan Newman (4th championship)
2020: Jeff Gordon (5th championship)
2021: Tony Stewart (4th championship)
2022: Kevin Harvick (1st championship)
Is it kinda sad that I jumped up out of my seat when Dale Earnhardt jr finally won a championship in the 2011 season? Lol. I was wondering when the game was finally gonna give him his. Also hilarious that Gordon shattered every record in nascar. Great video dude.
Still more successful than Kyle Larson’s, that’s for sure.
I hated him too but I will always call it the Larson line
This didn't age well
Welp, this aged piss-poorly.🤣
Oh boy this aged like wine didn’t it
So in this simulation, Kevin Grubb retired after the 2008 season... That's the most tragic of ironies to be honest. 😢
What a scrub
You should do a second one of these to see what the game does differently...
Try this for 2005, if you have a team in every series you’ll prob get the stats
Ok I'll admit it I rigged the simulation
Watch this game predict the folding of NASCAR after 2022
That’s not true. NASCAR isn’t going anywhere
Kenseth saw this video where he got top-10s in every race of 2012 and a second championship in 2017 and was like "huh I still got it" and came back to drive the 42 car (a move truly only seen in video games before)
5 championships 249 wins, over 1k starts. WHAT A LEGEND JEFF GORDON
forgot to mention a 28 seasons
30..
This is honestly more interesting than real NASCAR
In some alternate universe somewhere, this is the real stats and our current stats are the sims lol
Dale Jr. with 20 years of trying like his dad
more or less like 19 years of trying
The way you say “WARD BURTON!!” brings so much joy to my soul lol.
When I simulated 2003 career mode Jeff Burton dominated everything
It's interesting to think that in 2020 in the game that the only remaining active drivers in real life are Harvick, Kurt Busch, Newman & Nemecheck. I may have missed someone
Jimmie
Kenseth
10:19 The same thing happens when Rusty retires and has no replacement, the game just puts in Hornaday in the 2 ACDelco Chevy. I actually like that cool ‘what if’ scenario
Don't leave us Ward Bruton
He had to; he bought a Cat Rental Store where they sell Cat Skid Steer Loaders
Nostradamus must be the results simulation engine for NT04...
Go Bobby Labonte
Finally the 18 driver wins a Championship
@@shiny_Six we know that
I'm taking about the Modern NASCAR
@@zh2motorsports867 Kyle Busch??🤔🤔
@@ThatZwassup the Moron Broke his leg and was out for half the 2015 Campaign
@@zh2motorsports867 and still capitalized at the end of the season and did it again last year ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@ThatZwassup if nascar wasn't like "you win and you're in" then he wouldn't have won it in '15
Death, Taxes, Jeff Gordon losing championships but winning ever race he can get entered into.
Awesome video, love this game, never been the biggest racing fan but this is a great game.
Also, now I want to hear you say "Zoinks!" in your higher pitch, swear I was hearing Shaggy from Scooby-Doo at times. Haha.
Labonte's stats are eerily similar to Johnson's IRL stats
I'm in my 3rd year in career mode on this game and I just pushed Jamie McMurray in every race of the season and he's going to win a championship now.
This is honestly better than real life... If only Bobby won that many championships. They wouldn't let him get 8, that's why they ended the career, and that's a fuggin farce.
21:44 you sound like Bob Jenkins when you get excited like that… 🤣🤣🤣
The fact that EA never tried to do some sort of "Head coach" (crew chief, I KNOW) mode is a complete travesty. Imagine this but you're calling the shots for car development, pitstops, which line to take in 2-line ovals and such.
Bobby Labonte comes up just short in his quest for championship number 8, ya hate to see it
Told ya Jeff Gordon was OP on race day when you simulate! Sucks he can't win a championship worth a shit.
This is the background content I need! GJ!
I just want you to know that this video gave me the itch to play NT2004 on PCSX2, and I really really really want you to know that I'm being so serious when I tell you that Casey Mears won the 2003 Food City 500.
Gordon reminded me of the Philadelphia Eagles
Gordon got 14 poles and 5 wins in year 1 of my career mode
Your voice sounds awesome in the intro, kinda like an announcer type 😉
Oh. Was actually planning on making this video on my channel lmao
5395racing hey, still make it I’ll watch
@@Kahne-yy3vq NT2003 is crazier so I will just do it there
My favorite part is when Bobby Labonte was like the greatest of all time for 4 years hahaha
I do this when im bored a LOT, mostly on season though. Gordon always retires once he hits 8 championships and some bum always replaces him 😂😂 it really is interesting to see though ngl
Edit: im gonna see how good I can get the car to over the 20 years
If i get this game (and a ps2)
Imma make starcom racing and do this 20 year career
god that be hell
Casey Mears just pit the last lap of every race.
Again with the Sheep Dog n Wolf background music. Never fails to impress me that I’m not the only one who played that.
This was awesome. It's funny how goofy and odd the silly season and replacement driver mechanics are. The Thunder games are the only racing games that have time progression like a franchise mode. I wish future racing games had dynamic rosters with retirements, team swaps and rookies.
This video made my day. Thank you
Plot twist NASCAR is a pre decided thing and thunder 04 decides it all, Nascar will cease to exist past 2024, and so will we
This was amazing
1:03:56 😭
Jeff Gordon is so OP in this game
Also good to know that if you don't smoke the career mode it becomes more interesting.
NT2004 Bobby Labonte being an absolute chad.
As a Jeff Burton fan, I'm depressed the man couldn't notch a single points win those last 21 years of his career...only the Open like 10 times.
his reactions to jeff gordon winning the daytona 500 every f'ing time lmao
Big props to D. Cope dominating the last car championship.
I want to do a stream of this and see what alternate timeline I can create
From other’s experience, driver retirements make “Finish Ahead of” contracts an automatic loss. Would love to see a variant where we sim the career but try and win a championship as hard as possible
Curious: Can a person begin when NASCAR began in 1949 with one of these games?
One of my career modes, Jeff Gordon retired, and in the final season I got to run his car
Do this on nascar thunder 2003
Did I miss something? Why the name change from Martin Truex to Cope just randomly
I lost my shit at the 83 year old rookie
Also, great choice of words at 31:22.
Unfortunate wording
What this simulation and game shows me is what the sport could maybe look like if every top driver from that season in 2003 never faltered and kept their form at the top. The drivers who succeeded in this play through were considered the 5-10 best of the sport at that time. Obviously I don’t think Jeff would have ever gotten to 200 but if he would’ve been Jimmie for many of those mid years between 2008-2013 he could easily have maybe 110 wins
Biffle lmao
This is good contact
I’ve simmed 2003 myself. Still haven’t got ahold of 2004 again as well as 2003 for my Xbox.... dang near impossible to get ahold of other than Amazon or eBay.....
Casually singing Ride the Lightning at 37:28
They will never again make games like these that's too good
Can you please do this for simulating your career on NASCAR 2005 Chase for the Cup?
Can you do this with newer nascar games on the PS4? :0
So this is basically an owner mode since you aren't driving
29:03 yay Casey Mears!
Lemme know when y’all wanna compare best lap times ya feel
Hahaha wow that’s funny as hell😂
47:21 I thought it would say Jack Lawton (my name). Who’s Joe?
Now do NASCAR 06...
God dang I need to try this
2018 gordon didnt complete a single lap in the daytona 500… weird. Also there was a race waltrip led only 3 laps but won by 3 seconds
05 next?
Jimmie Johnson with no championships 😆😆 damn.
Funny how everybody who was decent around 2003 was OP and everyone who wasn't would end up going 20 years without a single top 10 LMAO
It is the BEST!!!
"I haaate everything about yoooou!"
