Although walkability in somewhere like Downtown is nice, and it’s definitely nice to be near the streetcar, what would you say is the difficulty of driving to downtown, parking, and then walking or riding the streetcar? Is it hard to find garage parking? Is it expensive? Are the garages secure so there is peace of mind the vehicle won’t be broken into or stolen?
glad to come across your channel, we are interested in KS, might fly out to visit and sight see, maybe you could show us a few homes while we are there? Im seeing that the eastern area like Overland Parl, Shawnee, Topika etc is the area to be at. Hows the Mexican food?
Something not talked about in this video is that Overland Park has basically no crime. It just doesn't ever happen. I can't recall the last time I heard about a a crime being committed here. I live here so I consider myself a valid source.
Anything south of 135th give or take is way too cookie cutter, spread out, and far away from downtown for me. It also seems that traffic on US-69 let alone I-35 heading north during rush hour would be a nightmare at least until that express lane gets built.
@@movingtokc Absolutely especially with all the construction. It might be worth it in the end though. A commute on it in normal conditions during rush hour can certainly improve with that lane built. People who live in that area can certainly afford any tolls KDOT would charge. Being a roadgeek myself, I am actually excited to see what the final outcome will look like. It'll be the first of its kind in the KC metro let alone the entire states of Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, etc. I'll likely make a video of it when it's done.

Can you name the most popular subdivisions in Overland Park near prairie fire and the Overland Park mall but specifically homes in the most popular neighborhoods
@user-tb4hr2ry3u there are several. Have you watched my video on the Prairie Fire area? Happy to chat about neighborhoods more in depth if you’d like to text me 720-270-6649
Moved to SOP from Scottsdale and I love it. I wouldn’t dream of buying a house based on public transit 😳 Look at property values & schools. I guess different generations have different desires.
Southern Overland Park is just the pseudo plastic Sunbelt in terms of culture and housing. You drive to the higher end areas of Leawood north of 435 and you might as well be in Pennsylvania in terms of the housing styles.
Just wanted to add that Overland Park KS is traffic light hell, nothing but red lights every 30 feet. Literally one of the most miserable places on earth for an Auto enthusiast to live. This city is run by garbage and it shows.
@@movingtokc Nearing the worst highway surfaces in the nation? Have you used the highways lately? In my opinion a number of Interstates and Highways should be immediately shut down because the surfaces are so poor.
Overland Park is my hometown and I love living and working here! I actually work for the City! Just the best!!!
Glad you love it! Thanks for watching!
I’m considering moving there is it ghetto
I live in Overland Park, best city on Earth.
I live in Old OP. Love it!!
Old OP is the best OP 🙌🏼
Which area is this? Moving to OP from Florida
North OP is inside the 435 loop. Old town is 87th and Metcalf. Feel free to email me if you have more questions. Info@movingtokc.net
@@movingtokcI will thank you!

It’s not difficult to find parking downtown. Lots of secured garages and street parking options!

Hey there! Would love to help. Shoot me an email at info@movingtokc.net and let’s connect!
I live here and I am a Mexican food enthusiast. I recommend Que Macho's. I am 12 though so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Moving there at the end of September. Residences at Prariefire. Looking forward to it.
Prairie fire is great! Where are you moving from?
@@movingtokc from Boca Raton. Moved here less than 5 years ago from DC, but we're 'over it'. Looking forward to something more fun in KC

Hey @KCDashcammer ! Do you live in the area? 🤔
@@movingtokc Yes I live in the Northland within the city limits.
69 south of 435 is the worst stretch of highway to be on in the city currently.

At the end, you didn't share "one of your absolute favorite spots in all of Overland Park". I'm curious as to what that is?
I didn’t make that clear enough, did I? It’s the Arboretum hands down.
@movingtokc what is that?
@mikkey246 the Overland Park arboretum and botanical gardens is in South OP!
@@movingtokcthanks I work there with the best team!

Piper is a nice little hamlet. A lot of kckpd live there. Good schools and meets residency requirements. Probably the safest neighborhood in kck

yeah......south of 89th Street or so, it becomes a soul-sucking grid of stroads
It's really not, though.
Wrong. The best suburb of KC is Ottawa KS.
