How to Fix WOBBLY Stabilizer / Gimbal (ZHIYUN Smooth Q3)

- I ran in to an issue with my ZHIYUN Smooth Q3 stabilizer / gimbal which was doing jerky and wobbly movements when using for slow pans. I demonstrate the issue and how to fix it. ZHIYUN was fantastic in helping solve the issue.

I've just got myself a second-hand Smooth Q3 and I was going crazy about the deadzone. I'm also gonna be using it to shoot real estate clips and it was driving me crazy with the janky movements. Gladly there is a fix and it was a super easy and quick one 🙏

thanks for this! i have a zhiyun crane m gimbal and had the deadzone/following/control settings in the android app but when I got the zhiyun smooth q4 i was dissapointed to find there was no app that had these settings (zy cami didn't have those). it was only when i found your video that i realize they had a support tool to control those settings. i wish they had built them into zy cami at least. now i can fix the deadzone and following rate in my smooth q4! :)

I've got the same issue when paning.
I do have a question tho... I can't find the calibration upgrade software you mentored in the video. On their website, under smooth q3 downloads, there's nothing similar.
My options are : user guide, compatibility list, usb driver and firmware. Nothing else. Did they send you a special access to download section or is that a general website you got it from?

@@Shyfoxx yes I did. It takes you to the support page for smooth q3, with few downloads, but there's no calibration upgrade tool software listed. Can you open that link for me again and double check if you can see it please?

In mine directly com 3 is coming it’s not starting from com 1
So disappointed by this product. I've updated the firmware, experimented with settings from Zhiyun Gimbal Tools, but still the panning movement is too eager and jerky. It's unusable. My old DJI OM3 is buttery smooth in comparison.
i buy this gimbal few days ago.
axis not working good on Tilt down to up (lock mode).
I know many user got same problems AFTER i bought this gimbal.... 😭😭😭
If nothing I said helped then contact their customer support.
