The movie is soooo similar to AoT when you think about it. Big monsters, death of family member, giant wall, a crazy scientist who loves the monsters and wears glasses, a commander who makes epic speeches, a short haired asian girl with childhood trauma, heroic sacrifices, and...JAEGARS!
I'm surprised most people are talking about AOT because of the wall but doesn't the whole being connected to the mechs thing remind us of Evangelion
