NORDIC STYLE CHRISTMAS TREE by THE FIREPLACE - Scandanavian Nordic Woods Theme

- I am decorating our tree by the fireplace in a Nordic woods theme for Christmas 2023. I hope this can give you some Christmas decorating ideas that you can use for your own traditional woodsy looking tree. I used red accents in our tree and the new ornaments I showed you in a previous shopping haul from Walmart and Hobby Lobby on this tree. These new pieces really helped push over our Scandinavian Christmas tree theme. We are representing Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. This is part of our Christmas in Europe theme throughout the house this year. I used pinecones, antlers, snow boots, sleighs, metal and wood crafted ornaments and we love the final result here. We just finished the Dining Room in an Irish Theme with Green and Gold and now this area is finished. We are moving on through the house so stay tuned for much more decorating to come. Stunning! I love this tree! It is so serenely soft and lovely. The flocked branches with the gorgeous ribbon woven throughout, the wood ornaments and the deer; all of the elements combine to make a beautiful Scandinavian tree. Bonjour mon ami, Jeff. Wow this tree is absolutely beautiful ! The ornaments that you choose to put in this tree are perfect ; they respect the theme in all ways. The colors of the ornaments, the mixt the wood, metal, glass, the ribbons, etc. all those elements blending together gives us a gorgeous and perfect tree.

Of all your trees, this is my favorite...and that is impressive since you have many, many trees. The tree has your standard "more is more" style but because of the colors, it's more subtle. FYI, I went to Walmart over the weekend - no glass ornaments. Only plastic. Struggling to find glass ornaments and each year it becomes harder. I have found a few (atHome, Michaels, and HomeGoods).

Just love it. After British Isles my next largest DNA comes from Norway, so my ancestors were Vikings the Northern Invaders. Guess that's why my son is 6 -5", doesn't come from my husband's side. I watched a Christmas tree decorating video from a few years ago and the decorator suggested using 100 lights per foot of height of a tree. YIKES! Geez, I love the tree just with the three different rolls of ribbon on it! Maybe this one is my favorite of all the trees you've done, but it's hard to pick just one! I love the flocked look, how thick it is. I hope it lasts for you for many years. The shape is wonderful and it looks very real with the PE branches rather than the older PVC trees.
