Decorating Our Fireplace Mantel Christmas 2023 - Nordic Woods Scandanavian Theme

- I am decorating our fireplace mantel for Christmas 2023. I hope this can give you some Christmas decorating ideas that you can use for your own Christmas fireplace mantel decor. I am going a bit traditional here like I did last year and the year before. I am using our basket style sleigh arrangement that I made in our last video for part of our mantel scene. I am using our new sleigh bells, cranberry balls and antlers from Hobby Lobby that I showed you in a previous haul. This theme has more of a Nordic woodsy scandanavian look to it. I used a good amount of red berries and holly to break up our pine. I used pinecones and antlers to really pull off the theme for this space. As you know if you have been following us, our theme is Christmas in Europe. We just finished the Dining Room in an Irish Theme with Green and Gold and we just love the finished result. This area is representing the nordic countries of Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. You will also notice how I added just a few deep red ball ornaments to accent our red berries. I love to decorate the mantel every season and Christmas is our favorite season. At our home it lasts as long as any other season. I woke up to a 35 degree morning so I am imagining being curled up in front of your cozy, gorgeous fireplace. No, I am not complaining about the cold after that unbearable heat this summer. Yes we have a lot of pine in our dark woods up here. It's so interesting to see how you're thinking about our culture and lifestyle. You're right but we also have a lot of lights and bling bling too to bright it up in the dark season. The sun sets about 5 pm now. At Christmas at 3 pm in the afternoon! Night at 3 pm! Well, I did a quick search for "decorating Christmas mantel" and up popped this video. There is no way for me to duplicate this without spending a lot of money trying to match what you put up, but it sure is inspiring! I love the reindeer! I love the varigated faux ivy! I love the baby owl! I love the florals everywhere! I love the wicker sleigh - and don't get me started on the giant pinecones! I love it all. I'm not a minimalist in my decorating, and you tend to be so overwhelming, but it all somehow works together and I LOVE it all! Now I'm going to watch you do the Nordic Christmas tree. I'm sure it will blow me away just like this mantel. I'm hoping to get some ideas for doing a woodland themed Christmas tree.

Jeff it’s always great to see you decorating for Christmas 🎄 You glow while even talking about Christmas lol.The mantle is just beautiful. I have a tip for you for your lanterns at each end.If you use a nice candle holder or riser for the candles in the lanterns it appears to make the candles look bigger and easier to see.Try it in one of them and see if you like it or not.Can’t wait to see the Scandinavian Christmas tree.

Jeff, there is something about this gorgeous Scandinavian design that speaks to my very being. I do have that heritage, but was never really drawn to that type of decor before, but this (with Angela's choice of music) was quite emotional for me. Loved every aspect of it.
