Synthetizer V feels like a savior for many vocal characters, Gumi was getting forgotten because Of being in V6 and she regained a small popularity now she is in Synthetizer V, Popy and Rose were released in CeVIO Ai first and they weren't very used, but since they came to Synthetizer V they've been used a lot more, and Teto is literally the queen of Synthetizer V. And other examples are Haruno Sora, who was released in V5 and nobody like using that entry but when she got into Synthetizer V people used her a lot (although now she is kinda underrated again), and now we are getting Kyoteru and Miki.
Welcome to the SynthV VB owner's club, Lu. I just bought ROSE, one half of the Bushiroad voicebanks, a few weeks ago and I absolutely love her voice for the music I make. I do more rock, blues, and metal and she has a gorgeous, powerful voice. She keeps her slightly nasal tone from her voice provider, Aina Aiba, and the character she represents, Yukina Minato from Bang Dream.
My problem with her synthv voicebank is that it's sounds a little low quality than the other synthv voicebanks but maybe that's just me. Another problem i heard from other people is that she has no power voice mode. The closest thing to a power voice mode is like you said "Vivid". I hope that she gets updated some how and gets an actual power voice mode but overall she's a really good improvement to her vocaloid 6 voicebank.
I would say same here but I don't think Synth V voicebanks get updated to have more vocal modes? I could be wrong on that though! I think you could easily achieve a power voicebank if you mess with the other vocal settings like tension, or at least something similar to one!
Oh man I had no idea about GACT's medical issues that must really suck, as a singer myself If my vocal chords/throat were damaged due to injury or illness rendering me unable to sing? Id be really REALLY REALLY sad. I hope he gets better. But Una for Synth V would be SOOOOO COOOL GUMI Sounds AMAZING and I'm glad that BOTH SF-A2 Miki and Hiyama Kiyoteru are also getting into Synth V!
For Japanese vocal she had descent English. Her English might not be record label quality but still good. Though i do not own her. I own Eleanor forte.
There is nothing I want more than for Gumi and Gakupo to get more recognition... I'm so glad Gumi got her SynthV, I honestly don't think Gakupo will anymore, sadly.
I would love that but unfortunately both Zero-G and PowerFX said they're no longer developing vocal synthesizers :( Not to mention Yohioloid's voice actor is the singer Yohio and I don't know if he'd be up for it. The guy is kinda pompous and weird lol

my opinion: her synth v voicebank's vocal modes/appends suck. they sound mostly the same. WHich forces most of us to use the tension and tone shift parameters
I hope synth v can grow and partner with other synth vocal companies because vocaloid feels super buggy and outdated for years for me even the “ai” sounds so crappy like idk what ai they use but it’s extremely crap. I was hype for the vocaloid that was coming out and the voice provider has such a nice voice and reminds me of otamachi but like older but the vocaloid sounds so boring I don’t what happen

GUMI SVは既にV6をつくられた直後なのでGUMIの新音源のSV移行はYAMAHA契約上で厳しい事情がありました
なので最初は興味本位でGUMIのボカロ音源をSVの方に入れる実験をしたのですが当初は製品版を出すことは考えていませんでした
が、社長がその実験で思いの外良さげと判断して何とかYAMAHAに許可を貰い製版版を作る事ができました
どうも海外勢の方は一年以内では音源持ちの会社は他の音声合成企業と契約はしてはいけない企業内の事情を分かってない方が散見されてGUMI SVが他のSVよりも質が低いって叩きがちですね
まず今のようにGUMI版SVが発売出来たのが正直奇跡な状態なんですよ

the biggest complaint i have with synthv gumi is how soft she is, and how difficult it is to get around that softness
