Nope, I never saw one either. This is the first time. So very cute and sweet. Didn't know that they could survive on table scraps. Don't know too much about seagulls to begin with. They have always been around but I guess that I've always taken them for granted.
That was a trip down memory lane for me..... I raised a seagull when I was 14 years old. He slept inside at night, but during the day he would free range in the yard with my mom's cats. They played tag, and napped together. Seagull is very fun loving. He would come running when I whistled, and he'd laugh! He was also scrappy. He'd chase dogs out of the yard.
That's a cute story. I once tried to raise a seagull baby myself when I was 11 years old. Long story short, I picked up the seagull chick at a parkinglot, forgot to feed it and didn't do proper research. My little seagull chick survived until the night, and silently passed away. It was entirely my fault, and I still remember the event after 12 years.🥺 I don't wanna go into details but...if you're a child and want to keep a pet...DO YOUR RESEARCH!! It's easier nowdays than it was back in 2008...
I just found a baby two days ago on my balcony in Germany and I observed whether his mother will pay a visit but haven´t seen any adult bird coming so I started feeding it and provide water. He (or she) is still quite fluffy with the down, without the real feathers so I brought him in a box inside the apartment over the night coz it was really stormy and the nights get rather cold. So far I give him canned sardines as I am not cooking much at home and I guess I^ll have to raise him until he´s able to take off the balcony:)
She flys so gracefully, over rocks and trees and sand...soaring over cliff and gently floating down to land...she proudly lifts her voice to sound her mating call! And soon her mate responds by singing, caw caw caw.

2 months ago ive found seagul in sea at 5 AM, she was having hypothermia and she covered with seaweeds. she came the shore near to me. she was obviously asking help. ive dived in sea and rescued her. she couldve attacked me but she didnt. animals are so special. please dont hurt them and behave them like they are babies. much love from Turkey.

Food literally in her mouth. Had to get a tetanus shot and everything. They are getting worse. A wee girl in a buggy had her ice cream snatched away from one too.
Off she goes!! Awww. I live right on the coast, less than a minutes walk to the beach in South East UK. I looove the seagulls! They have so much character and they get so big! ❤️😍
Very sweet and heartwarming video. It was undoubtedly difficult after watching the growth to let the seagull go, but they did the right thing. About a year and a half ago I found a seagull in the parking lot of my work with a really messed up wing. It was basically hanging by a thread. I took it to an animal shelter and unfortunately they had to euthanize it because of infection and parasites. Seagulls get so much flack because they are considered scavengers but I think they are just as beautiful as any other bird out there!
I love seagulls I think they are adorable and sweet but sadly some people think they are annoying like pigeons but people don’t see the potential they have in them :}
Bless this woman for her compassion & dedication. Seagulls are beautiful birds. I believe if they were a bit less common, people would have more of an appreciation for them. Glad this little one got such a good start in life!
I can imagine it is very easy to become attached to these fluffy, sweet babies. But the most loving act of this foster mom was raising this baby to go back to the wild. And that was one cute baby! Good job! ~❣️
I just love this little squeaker. The way he ate you could tell he wanted to live and thrive. Thank you to all you animal lovers out there that help animals and give them a chance at life. All lives matter.
Did this with a young crow I found while walking my dog once. It was all wet and had a small puncture wound in it's breast. I bathed it and medicated the injury. It hung around for two months until it fledged and flew away. Came back a few days later, then disappeared for good. Loved scrambled eggs and crickets. It was cool having a crow fly down from a tree and land on my head. I miss him/her. I called it Lil Chicken.
I stepped out of my truck 1 day to almost step on what I thought was a rat,it was a baby bird, I raised it till it could fly but it wouldn’t leave so I took her to a bird sanctuary where they slowly exposed her to the wild,Tweety was her name and she finally flew off to be free,it was hard to let her go.
As someone who has rescued gulls for years that’s pretty normal! Well done for saving the little one though. However feed only cat food and small whole fish to ensure proper development.
@@NUTnCASE They hate being touched, although I had one and he wasn't that bothered too much, he used to follow me around and try and undo my shoe laces, he was a lot of fun, when they are chicks, they are cute and into everything. They don't make good pets though, I would say almost impossible, they poo a lot and if they know where you live, they will keep coming back, everyday on the ponce, I have one who knocks on the front door and comes walking in through the house into the kitchen. His parents attack him if they see him. If you keep them around when they start having chicks, they are a nightmare. Make sure if you save one, defriend it way before the three years (they have chicks at that age) are up or you may feel like killing it.
I have 3 seagulls that visit me each day, I live in a London block of flats with a balcony, they love chilling out on it, They have completely different personalities, but all gentle and friendly when i come to feed them. (eat out of my hand) They love tuna, chips and chicken , all the things that they nose dive for at the beach.
