I low key kinda love Pariston. We don't get a lot of him or his motivations. But he's a true hunter playing to his strengths and on his enemies' weaknesses. And he really does mirror Netero in a lot of ways.

Keiji Fujiwara was the voice actor of Leorio and he died in 2020, I liked his voice a lot, funny, intense and involved too ( he was the voice of Kimura in IPPO, Hannes SNK, Maes Hughes FMA, Esidisi JOJO'S, Niko Tokita KENGAN, Byakuya Ishigami DR STONE, Ryokugyu in ONE PIECE when he was shaded chatting with Fujitora, ... and many others).
There's the guilt, sure, but the other thing about Ging is he's actually really shy, and is afraid of being emotionally vulnerable. Meeting his son for the first time was always going to be hard for him to handle, but on top of that, EVERY Hunter in the association is about to witness that moment. It's Ging's worst nightmare.

I THINK Killua was just flat out not allowed to tell Gon about Alluka because of family rules, hence hiding it. Re: Killua leaving, I do think it's important for Killua, now that he has gotten away from Illumi's needles and has established his own character thanks to Gon, to be away from Gon for a bit, so he can know himself when he isn't with Gon. He did it a bit lately, but he needs more or that. I'm definitely not of the "Gon is a bad friend" camp though, I think Gon is a incredibly good friend- but Gon and Killua's relationship has now so much baggage it's good for them to be away from each others. And yeah, having Gon be happy is really good. Gon going suicidal over feeling responsible for Kite's death did a number on him.
I feel like the people who are in the "Gon is a bad friend" camp, also think "Goku is a bad father". They only understand both through memes, not actually absorbing and interacting with the writing that's being given to them.
@@piusdoe8984 Kite was the first person who really changed gons world. He's the reason he learned about ging being alive, who he was, what hunters were and what not. He didn't spend a lot of time with Kite but it was certainly more than that. Gon's whole journey and meeting all these friends of his only started due to Kite. He was the first big inspirational figure in Gon's life besides Mito. Gon also makes friends really quickly. He was willing to risk his life for Killua despite only knowing him for a few days too. This version of the anime did a poor job of conveying that though.

There's been hiccups here and there, but the Chimera Ant arc is where it's truly tested. This is the first time Killua and us have seen Gon in a very bad emotional and mental state (which is understandable to see why). It's like when people say a couple should break up because they had one fight. Any relationship/friendship aren't always going to be sunshine and rainbows.

I think that your lack of understandment of Pariston and Ging comes from a guise that Netero is given through his sacrifice. It paints him in a light more heroic than anything. But really analyze Netero and how unhinged he was and how much he put fun over things.

We already saw it through his view on the king and Komugi situation. The dark side of him relates with human selfishness, ego, and the insanity (extreme resolve) that is enforced with it. Netero didn't reject human malice, he embraced it, above his warrior code. That's why he thought he is going to hell.
In the manga Mito made ging give up gon. He didn’t abandon him straight as they portray it in the anime. Mito says it in the first chapter of the manga. So he wasn’t a true deadbeat if she made him leave the kid but still a deadbeat
Ging actually came to give Gon to his grandma for a while. Then Mito took his custody. He's still not bad true deadbeat considering all the shit he set up for his journey.

I think Hanzo is pretty excited to see Gon too, and wanted a hug too. While he's not as close to Gon as Killua, Kurapika, or Leorio. He's still a friend of Gon, there is a reason he shows up to protect him in the hospital.

I definitely agree with you but we have to give it to them that they have not watched a lot of anime and are fairly new to anime, On top of that the majority of the anime they watch are wholesome.
I really like Pariston, as some reactors like him too. It's either hate or love. But I like that he is the only one that tries to entertain the dead Netero. Nothing wrong about this, but you only know it in the end that Pariston wasn't mean at all. (I mean he can be really bad outside this election, but at least he was clean in the election).
The reason why Patterson and ging are so hard to read because the narrator never dove in their mind….literally, if you noticed…..everybody had a train of thought and we were hearing them as the audience but ging and Patterson, never heard inner dialogue or mindset, this also made hisoka interesting in the very beginning because we also didn’t hear his thought process but all we knew was that he’s really strong, it’s just good writing

Really shows how Pitou was completely out of Gons league (which we already knew) but seeing the destruction to himself Gon needed to beat her is crazy. I do wish they showed Gons terrible condition earlier instead of making us guess how bad it is and then giving a shock factor scene. Would have made us actually feel the urgency of getting him healed

What happened to gon wasnt an illness. It was a curse. Bcs of the deal he made to beat pitou. That's how crazy Nanika power is. It can even break curse easily. It doesnt have limit. Might be why Ilumi went nuts. If the card can heal him, phantom troupe wouldnt need to find that someone to remove the curse on Chrollo
its not like that, there is nothing in hxh world that could have heal gon other than nanika (something), angels breath is nowhere near this power. It wasnt just wounds and a phisically destroyed body, gon literally sacrificed his life energy and nen, that is way too much for that spell.
Meruem is arguably the best written character in the whole hxh so far. The entire arc exist because of him and for him. And in the end he was truly a different person while he lived only 40 day and wasn’t even a human. He rejected whatever he supposed to be in the eyes of Pouf and queen

And then told him that he still doesn’t want to see him. But if Gon still insisting on meeting him then greed island is the way. Yes he isn’t good father and he was so ashamed of it that he was afraid to meet Gon if he wasn’t alone but he never manipulated him. He gave Gon a choice and provided best option aka GI to find him because no matter what path Gon would chose to meet his dad it would be dangerous anyway
I definitely agree with you but we have to give it to them that they have not watched a lot of anime and are fairly new to anime, On top of that the majority of the anime they watch are wholesome.

The reason why Patterson and ging are so hard to read because the narrator never dove in their mind….literally, if you noticed…..everybody had a train of thought and we were hearing them as the audience but ging and Patterson, never heard inner dialogue or mindset, this also made hisoka interesting in the very beginning because we also didn’t hear his thought process but all we knew was that he’s really strong, it’s just good writing

Really shows how Pitou was completely out of Gons league (which we already knew) but seeing the destruction to himself Gon needed to beat her is crazy.
I do wish they showed Gons terrible condition earlier instead of making us guess how bad it is and then giving a shock factor scene. Would have made us actually feel the urgency of getting him healed

@@CarlieAndAnge okay after a more careful consideration, i don't blame you guys if you don't like Gon towards the end of show, the anime changed the characters quite a lot compared to who they are in the manga. Gon, Hisoka, Leorio, Kite,... I only named a few but in the manga, they are portrayed much better. Gon is definitely not as "toxic" than he is in the anime

Gon is healed is only the 'result', but it doesn't mean that Ging predicted everything and give an excuse for him to be like that.

What happened to gon wasnt an illness. It was a curse. Bcs of the deal he made to beat pitou. That's how crazy Nanika power is. It can even break curse easily. It doesnt have limit. Might be why Ilumi went nuts.
If the card can heal him, phantom troupe wouldnt need to find that someone to remove the curse on Chrollo
its not like that, there is nothing in hxh world that could have heal gon other than nanika (something), angels breath is nowhere near this power.
It wasnt just wounds and a phisically destroyed body, gon literally sacrificed his life energy and nen, that is way too much for that spell.

Meruem is arguably the best written character in the whole hxh so far. The entire arc exist because of him and for him. And in the end he was truly a different person while he lived only 40 day and wasn’t even a human. He rejected whatever he supposed to be in the eyes of Pouf and queen
