Hey Kurtis, I noticed you don't use wooden slats to stand on at the machines. My Dad used them as the springy-ness saved his knees and lower back from extra stress. Basically it's 8 or so 1x4 inch by 12 foot or however long you need on top of the same dimension of slats running 90 degrees underneath. Makes long time standing during long cuts easier on your feet.

It was 4 or 5 days to set up a 20 cylinder, 50 foot block and redo the setups as the piece lost it's weight. As always you folk make great videos. @@ohasis8331 Be careful about not knowing what day of the week it is or a Doctor might say that you are loosing your mind. This happened to my Granddad in hospital care, said he Gd. didn't know what day it was! Reason, every day is the same and Gd. was being kept so busy that he had no time to read the newspaper! Take the Doctor's phone and diary away from him and after a few days the Doc won't know what day it is either!

It's pretty amazing you can keep a high level of precision over the length of such a giant pipe. Having to keep changing the setup and moving the steady rest several times. I imagine there's quite a bit of sag with it being so long. Anyway great work buddy and great video!

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the reason that you didn't use the tailstock chuck inside the tube, rather than outside?
