In the coming months i hope to have My Dauntless framed. Yours, to me, seems to ride low in the water. Not much on the full size available other than she was i think aluminum hulled PT boat from the deck down and custom inside and up. Thanks for showing me your interior setup. I've built large scale airplanes from plans. Familiar with materials and procedures. Got tired of re-kits. This project can keep me occupied for awhile.
i built my dauntless in pearl harbor at base hobby shop had a friend on a aircraft carrier bring it to the states and guess what never seen it again he llso had my bb63 with him partly finished great friend wish ii had them again but i can not afford them prices from 1958 and now well a retired person can not afford it have kidney problems and on borrowed time at83
Boat looks very nice cosmetically. However way under powered. It needs some speed and get up on plane. I’m building mine with twin brushless motors. Two props. I would like to achieve a 20mph?
Simply beautiful!
Thanks for watching!
Nice boat.
Thanks!
What a model... And what a spot! 👍
Like that launching harness!! Great model! Good sound effects.
Thanks for watching!
Excelente video, me gustó mucho la historia! Saludos desde Colonia del Sacramento. Uruguay.
Thanks for watching!
Hawley, this was such a treat to watch and learn how to begin a passion with a hobby.
Is a pair of brushless too much? Or should i run a pair of 500 or 550 size motors?
There is lots of room in the boat. I am thinking of changing out to brushless to make it go faster. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful
Thanks!

Thanks for watching and sorry to hear about your models.
Nice Dauntless! I do worry that you might have dinged a prop or bent a rudder hitting that rock. Best wishes.
Not the first time!
@@alpinewesternpacificrailro627 great job are you running a 4 or 3 blade?

Hi and thank you for watching. I am planning on changing the motors. The ones in there now are the original ones from 45 years ago.
What length is the boat.. I was thinking about getting one
