Stunning layout amd garden scene. You have clearly put a lot of thought and time into your creation. Its amazing. Well done. And gees id love to be your neighbour!!!
Hi, thank you for watching!
Hello/ Gruezi, Hawley, How can you lay this curb on a side slope, the machine is far to wide, with the wheels for a roadbed on a steep slope or narrow valley? Do you first build up the ground to the elevation you want, then compact the base, pour the roadbed, and then build the slope after it. So essentially much of the landscape is all created? I admire your courage of putting a double slip switch in the middle of a tunnel! one of the most derailment prone pieces of trackwork and it'll be hidden. I hope that works. I know these are excellent turnouts, but that is one area I wouldn't cover; also nice to see trains maneuver through that. I hope you'll give us an update on how that works. The view from up on the double 8 area is spectacular!! What an amazing thing to get to build a layout many of us dream about creating, with miles of track to follow trains along. I appreciate all the tips on ways to build portals and bridges, with the sheet tiles and back splashes, and also tips for things like drainage between the tracks, one of those things people don't think about until it's too late. Do the drains collect the water someplace, or pour into existing waterways you have? Good source for water for your plants. Thanks for sharing the updates on this amazing railway!
Excelente video, me gustó mucho la historia! Saludos desde Colonia del Sacramento. Uruguay.
Good Job. 👍🏼
Question, Does anyone have any advice on how I can put the original rail clamps back without damaging the sleepers? Thanks in advance
What type of rail clamps?
Simply beautiful
Thank you! 😊

It is kind of inaccurate that the engines play the national anthem. The song "The Star-Spangled Banner" did not become the official national anthem of the U.S. until 1930, and the Driving of the Golden Spike took place in 1869.
Hi. Thanks for watching. The lights are LEDs and not a flame. Not prototypical, either.
@@alpinewesternpacificrailro627 lol, the thing about the lights I would understand.
Nice boat.
Thanks!
Cement is a great base. My 1/4” minus roadbed also required renewing annually. I staggered joints be 6-8” so rail joints were parallel only at switches. Prevents vertical and horizontal kinks and eliminated derailments. Very extensive layout you created. Well planned!
Thank you for watching!
Congrats... on pretty much everything.

Hard to find good help no a days! It was her only day.
Rabbits are the worst diggers on my railway. I keep animals out of tunnels by installing covers on all the portals. It keeps rabbits, skunks, and raccoons from using them as their bathrooms or sleeping chambers! Of course you have a lot more tunnels to cover than I do.
Thanks for watching!
Is that your engine, Dave? Are you new to the live steam hobby? If you are, welcome! I’ve been in large scale live steam since 1979! I was introduced into the hobby on my eighth birthday!
It was originally my fathers. Thanks for watching!
@@alpinewesternpacificrailro627 it’s a beautiful engine! And sounds great!
Amazing model! How will you cover the station to protect it over the winter months?
It is made to stay outside with no cover. Made from all exterior grade building material. Just like the real station. Thanks for watching!

Even more amazing. Love your railway videos. The video of your dad's railway was also amazing. It's in your blood!
Thanks for watching! The Tunnel was built in the late 1950s.
A very smart railway the only thing I have to say is every time you go through the big tunnel there is nowhere for people to get out of the way like a real tunnel you would have cutouts big enough for someone to stand in to get out of the way, apart from that you must have spent loads of time and money on it 👍.
Congratulations, that's pretty awesome. Your dad would be proud.
Thanks for watching
on this layout they have spent more $ on tek screws to fasten the track down than i have on my whole railway track,,,, see "nikau junction" railway new zealand....timber ties ( sleepers) with slots and 30 x 10 mm track pressed in...cheap effective and rusts like the real thing,,,,,,, to me this aluminium rail looks fake as it stays too bright
Thanks for watching.
I have always wanted a train like this
Hi. It is easy to get started. There are several companies that make great starter trains. You do not need your own track. There are lots of clubs all over the world that you can run on. Small trains can fit in the back of a pickup truck or small trailer. Thanks for watching!
Who makes that double switch?
Hi. Trainli can get them. Thanks for watching!
DANG!!!! That is a really long tunnel
Yep. About 300 feet.
Looking forward to this video. I’m hoping it will help me with my decision on a DCC system.
Hi. Thanks for watching. PM your number and I would be happy to call and discuss.
@@alpinewesternpacificrailro627 Will do...getting my questions formulated first

Awesome property and setup, I’ve done a lot of business with Accu-Tie and Enerprise Plastics for my own railroad
thanks for watching!!
Very well made video
Have gotten several emails from it.
What size fits the LGB high speed Amtrak train
Fantastic. Great detail, and I enjoyed seeing the materials used. Could you show more about the switch and switch motors?
Hi. There are a few videos on my channel about the MD DCC switch meters. Also some videos on the Trainli website and TH-cam channel. If you have any questions, happy to call and discuss. Thanks for watching!!
Awesome video! Nice work there and I love how you explain the process! Do you know if the Gary Raymond s mi scale flange wheelsets run good on your nickel coated brass track there? I change out all my LGB plastic wheel sets for Gary Raymonds wheel sets as I love the scale flanges as I’m not a big fan of the deep flanges and LGB wheels. My stuff runs well on LGB brass track, so I would assume that it would run OK on your nickel plated Brass track there. Just checking on that. Awesome work and please keep up the wonderful videos!
Hi, thanks for watching. Those wheels should work. The rail is the same dimensions as the LGB track. Very important that you have a very smooth roadbed, nice cures and level, straight turnouts with the smaller flanges.
@@alpinewesternpacificrailro627 yes, sir, you’re absolutely correct on switch is being level! Also, I had found out on the LGB switches I had to space out with a shim, the guard rails for the frog to proper NMRA standards! The scale flange wheels do like to pick frog points once in a while on the diverging side, if you do not shim the guard rail! again, I appreciate your info and your awesome videos!
Thanks for sharing this information. Very interesting video and great insight. Just incredible and thanks 😊
Thanks for watching!@@user-vv4dl7ku5x
Great perspective and ninimal use of buildings. Great landscaping for thetrains to run through.
Thank you for your positive feedback!
I love this idea, this is the next evolution to the age old foam support, that really offers little stability and no versatility. The tiltable support is a great idea.
Very nice! Love the music selections!
Thank you!
Nice job! How do they keep it so clean?
The Swiss keep everything clean!
I like the product can't find it on the TrainLi site.
I also looked on their site and couldn’t find it either. 🤷♂️
You didn't show anything .

What’s the rail joint gap spacing between the rails please?
Hi. There should be no gap. Thanks for watching!
