Hi I am trying to create custom metadata records using CSV file by VS code. My CSV file has null values for some of the columns in some records. When I am trying to insert record using a command on terminal the record get created in custom metadata folder but the records for which any column has null value gets inserted as undefined so I am not able to deploy the records to org. Please guide me how to create records for which some of the columns have null value.
Dataloader or any App using Bulk api ...does not seem to identify Custom metadata types for loading records in Salesforce. Searching more found this th-cam.com/video/0maxXO4lDfA/w-d-xo.html . Looks like cmdt is the best way to deploy custom metadata records in bulk to an org. Kindly confirm if data loader can be used and what setting if any is involved for loading custom metadata records
I also felt the same. I mean why did this video even made?, can't even understand why we need to use this custom meta data types, no real life application explained, not addressed why we need to use custom meta data types instead of custom objects.

can the custom metadata records be updated/inserted using apex class and without using huge metadata class that is available for all metadata things.
