I don't use WhiteFox-assets as much as I should for sure. I usually go for ForgottenAdventures first, but I am a patron of WFW and she has some awesome stuff. I'm going to be running a few oneshots soon, maybe I'll use her packs for that and keep FA-assets for my ongoing campaign-maps...
I've had the same problem for quite a while. However, her stuff also goes well alongside FA assets. So especially when it comes to cluttering, food andrUrban/Shop related (and now adding some prefabs here and there) I start using her assets more and more! SO mixing it might be worth a shot for you as well. :D
@@fakefairytale05 I'm usually a bit of a purist when it comes to my assets (for example I already know from experience that I don't like mixing Tom Cartos with FA, I feel like they clash - but many people seem to combine them on the regular), but I will definitely give it a go!
@@Drakendottir Seem to have forgotten to respond to this entirely. I guess it kinda depends on the creator style and your personal preference. I do believe the match between FA and TC is slightly off, and WFW and FA match a bit better in that regards. Though in the end, you do you! FA has sufficient assets to work as a stand-alone so no need to add onto that. I believe the same counts for TC as well.
What do you use for lighting when you export to roll 20? I do 140 pixels, and the lighting of my map stumps me. I want consistency. I am running call of Cthulhu. Do I export with no light, 1/4, 1/2, etc? I would rather use DD for my "gaslights" on buildings and in the city.
I often turn off lighting & grid when I export for VTT's. You can add those in the software if you want to. I would recommend exporting as a WEBP file if you want to maintain as much quality as you can. JPEG's comrpess the image and reduce the quality. Depending on how big you map is you can then play around with the amoun of pixels, but I think 256 pixels should be doable in a WEBP format.
