Then you have to do it by hit and trial. One thing for sure the output is always 5. So by measuring secondary current and primary you can compute ratio
@@electricallectures so i basically run 100a through the line and measure Ct output amps. If its 2.5 its primary is 200a. But due to impedance and accuracy class, output can't be accurate right?
CT operating in normal mode then fault current appears in load ... how can we reduce fault current on primary side by effective changes on Secondary side... what are the changes possible on Secondary side to reduce fault current on primary side
Sir could you please explain any practical application or uses of reduction of CTR...? It's will be much beneficial for me..Thanks in advance sir.. 🙏🙏🙏
I have a question. Please could you tell me, what would happen if the flow primary current is 300 A permanently, and the ratio CT is only 200/5 A? Thanks by the answer.
@@electricallectures I don't agree, please elaborate further. There are times when you can set the pick to be above the 100% rating, which is 5A. I have seen the CT's rated 600/5A and relay set at 1.2 of the primary current. Is that a wrong practice or what?
Absolutely wrong. Ct can only produce 5A. As far as pickup is concerned , 1.2 can be set if the maximum primary current is 600. Let say ur relay is supposed to trip @400A which is 1.2 times. Now ur ct is 600/5 and it will work in this situation
Wow first time ct burden is explained in simpler manner
Too good. Wonderful explaination
Your way of explanation is awesome thank u ...keep more topics ..

Hi,if data markings on the CT's disappear how would one determine the correct ratio? Thank You.

Do you want to ask usage of CT . I dont actually understand your question. Reduction of ctr
From which software u make this video
what he means by"CT Secondary should never be opened"? Is it even possible to open it Physically?
I mean to say secondary connection should not be open while CT is energizes. And it can also be possible to open CT physically as in Clampmeter
@@electricallectures thanks a million, god bless you
What happens on primary side current when burden increases on Secondary side
No effect on primary but if burden exveed the ratio will be disturbed and so as secondary current
If the Secondary winding is replaced with reactance instead of short circuit after sometime then what happens on primary side current
I have a question. Please could you tell me, what would happen if the flow primary current is 300 A permanently, and the ratio CT is only 200/5 A? Thanks by the answer.
Ct will saturate and 5 A will continue to flow
@@electricallectures Thanks a lot by the answer.

I need 1000/5 but 0.3 burden 15va
200/2 farmola 😊
Don't understand
i cannot understand you bus or bar type?? wtf
