Eidolons are a good way to keep your older favourites more relevant for longer. They are never really worth it from a pragmatic perspective.
Well keep your favorite relevant is a very pragmatic reason to get eidolons, at the end of the day we all have a few characters that keep the game enjoyable for us and if they fall behind our enjoyment get impacted.

Tierlist on LC and Eidolon is a great idea. That way when you vertically invest in a character and their eidolon, it adds versatility and horizontal investment to the account. Like topaz LC is a great LC to pull for imo coz it works for Ratio, Topaz and Feixiao without being far behind the other signature 5 star hunt LC. I see you as like the HSR version of Jello Impact.
Ratio LC is just better as a general LC for follow up characters, Topaz LC is more for support than anything else but it’s solid to have on FuA teams.
A tier list for LCs is too difficult to realistically make due to most characters wanting something different. Aeon is a great LC for every Destruction character… except Blade, so would you also rank Blade’s LC up there next to it since he only really gets good benefit from it? What about Acheron’s LC? Amazing for her and solid on Welt, but for Kafka? Swan? Silver Wolf? Jiaoqui? Not a real option.

Haha, same but for the other side of the reason - I am HAPPY to build traces but the last thing I want is to have to do more relic farming 🤮 I have decided to start saving for the Fate colab a) so I can get everyone I want when it lands and b) so I can focus on getting my mediocre relics updated for the characters I do have. Substat RNG is legitimately cancer 🦀
Trust me. Once you live in this hell called "relic/artifact farming" relic farming doesn't sound too bad. It takes way too long, yes, but is a guarantee boost.
Vertical investment is good to avoid long term farming relic. The grinding is pain when it is perpetual or have no luck in substats or main stat.
It only takes about 11 days of stamina to finish full traces of a 5 star character. I've been doing data collection on trace material drops for about half a year.

Q: Do you need eidolons in HSR?
A: Depends what do you want to achieve in game. If your goal is just to clear content with max stars then you don't need any eidolons at all (except 4*s obviously). But if your goal is to do 0 cycle bs then e0 is just usually not enough. You don't need eidolons for every character but on some units some eidolons are reqiured to achieve that goal.
Also if you want to destroy the fun (challenge) then you need eidolons for sure.
In my opinion if you want to invest to eidolons it's not e2 DHIL, e2 Acheron or e2 Firefly. E0 is enough. Get e2 Robin, Sparkle, Ruan Mei instead. Then E6 them with time. I belive that sooner or later you will drop Acheron, FF, DHIL for a newer and better dps. But you will probably still want to use your supports. And you can use them on any team. With E6 supports you don't even need broken dps. You will destroy any content with Hook or Misha.

Regarding the "argument" between Eidolons vs. getting E0 characters, I think an important fact to remember is that your team can only have 4 (or 8) characters which means that ultimately, at some point, you'll have to pick and choose who you're going to use. So instead of having to 'eliminate' characters from your team, you can get Eidolons for your already existing team to make them more powerful instead; after all, if you're not using the characters you pull for, then they're just wasted potential resources (jades). Of course, this also means that you're putting more eggs in one basket but I also don't feel like the game has (at the moment) reached a point in where you're unable to complete content because you invested in X character. Perhaps EOD can test this theory by using his Seele who he E6'ed and that might be the ultimate test of this theory because Seele was the first DPS character released and we talk about how DPS characters get power crept the fastest all the time.
Seele is Uber strong if used correctly. He should try seele more tbh esp at e6
Lol expect some new character at e0 are better than older ones at e6. E0 is easily the best and this is coming from a guy with e2 Boothill, Firefly and e1 Jade and acheron. FFs e2 is only gonna age cuz it gives her a free extra action each turn.

My point isn't that some new characters at E0 are not better than old characters at E6, my point is that you can still complete content perfectly fine with old characters and that at some point, you're going to need to make a decision on who is going to be on your team. Imagine if you have every character in the roster at E0, who are you going to bring to say Pure Fiction? Great, you picked 8 characters, now, every character that you didn't pick could have potentially been an Eidolon for one of those 8 characters you did pick. So unless you're telling me that you're going to chase every single new limited character, getting Eidolons here and there to make your existing characters better is likely better value.
Even you mentioned getting E2 Firefly which is amazing - likely, even a year from now, I can still see an E2 Firefly being very strong, maybe not the best like she is now, but definitely still very good and capable of completing content. Will there be a new shiny character to chase from now until then? More than likely, but that doesn't mean Firefly is suddenly incapable.
My thoughts exactly. Any character that isn't fielded is considered as a "waste of resources". Players who go horizontal investment will have to keep updating their E0 characters as new characters come out, and just drop their older E0 chars. While vertical investment, with the help eidolons make characters last longer before needing to change.
Also, levelling a new character takes up resources. Each character to build well will take 2-3 months of farming traces and relics. Those said resources could be used to further push up existing characters closer to their ideal relic substats.
Except that content can (and will) continue to diversify. Having one team that blows away some specific content is great, but then what do you do when they add a new node? If you were all in on hyper carries, for instance, pulp fiction would be a nightmare.
On top of that, power creep is a thing. If you pull for E3 on one team, you could have had 8 other units. And with later units generally being more powerful than earlier ones, that E0 character you got on your 7th pull could easily be more powerful than your E3 character. Fei, for instance, is more attractive at E0 than Seele is at E6 (and I love my E0 Seele, for the record).
On top of that, BIS characters for a team are usually a much bigger benefit to the team than any other upgrade is. Jiao on Acheron team, for instance, is the single best pull you can do after E0 Acheron. More important than her Sig LC (even though that's 20% more powerful than the next best option). Better than E0>E2.
Now imagine if, in 8 months, we get a harmony support that was truly tailored to the tastes of an Acheron team? They could easily powercreep the Sparkle/Robin comps.
If the game remained relatively static, then sure, solely vertically investing in a team once you have one you like would be wise. But it doesn't.
The best argument for vertical investment is "I really like this character and I care about that more than anything else."

The teacher student style that so many others adapt is hard to stomach sometimes, especially when the "teacher" doesn't know what they're talking about. I tend to gravitate towards collaborative styles and get easily turned off from those who's intent is to "teach"
When it comes to Eidolons, Supports are generally the better units to get Eidolons for, IMO. They benefit more then just one unit in your roster. In fact they benefit most to all of your roster. You don't need Support Eidolons, but I prefer getting Support Eidolons before DPS Eidolons unless that DPS was my Absolute Favorite. With Exceptions being Topaz/Jade/Black Swan's E1.
The only DPS I thought of E2ing (Other then the E2 Acheron I have) Is Feixiao as she is insanely fun but I'm keeping her E0S1 for the meantime as I want units that come out after
*It's almost like the main character continuesly says "reach the end of the story in YOUR OWN WAY" people don't seem to realize how simplistic and casual this game is. As I always state, you can clear everything with 4 star units, so any combination of 5 stars is busted in comparison.*
There are 3 reasons I even entertain eidolons in HSR:
1) Team comp/playstyle flexibility: more characters is cool yes, but so are more team combos. Eidolons open the door to further move away from rigidity of certain comps
2) Compensating for relics: I HATE farming for relics. Grabbing an eidolon here and there helps compensate for subpar relics until rng blesses you
3) Character longevity: as game progresses, eidolons can help keep the character relevant. To the point where I’ll actually check out when pulling E0 “is their E6 broken?”. If yes I know that character will last a long time. If not I may skip altogether
The last point is terrible, e6s5 Blade hasn't aged well at all. I'll let you know how long e2 Firefly lasts
@@THEBeastGohan Not all E6s are “broken”. Blade’s E6 is nowhere near broken. If it’s a DPS I’m looking for both *unconditional* Res Pen + absurd dps multiplier at a minimum for me to consider it broken. Or something that is so kit altering to same effect. Blade doesn’t pass that test, neither does Seele, Jing Yuan etc. so I will never pull them
@@THEBeastGohanBlade is a case of the character in general not aging well, his Eidolons are actually solid overall and his e6 makes sense when you pair him with Jade, though that combo is lacking in damage overall in the first place.
Blade needs a rework to make his damage not split scaling, or introduce a character that increases the amount of damage a character does based on how much HP they have, like 3k gives 30% DMG, 5k gives 50% and 7k gives 70%, maybe not those numbers exactly since they could be higher but something along that concept.
I agree with this but I have a E1S1 Jingliu that just can’t keep up anymore to what my Acheron and Firefly can do it makes me sad cause I still love Jingliu… I’m hoping for some new relics that somehow boost the older characters and/or some new supports or something that help the older characters
@@faiththroughfire7762 Honestly I don't know what they could do for a new relic set, Glacial is exactly the type of set she wants giving Dmg% and Crit Dmg% + Rutilant giving 8% crit and 20% skill damage. Really the biggest upgrade would be a Crit Damage version of Rutilant since crit rate is not a real issue for her.
I think she more so needs better supports, Pela is great and all but she needs someone who's like a mix of Pela + Aventurine ults, AoE def shred + Crit damage received. Houhou really only offers energy, the Atk% is somewhat redundant since Jingliu gets so much from her talent already. Sparkle or Robin are really solid options for that last slot, Sparkle probably the better option though.
Really it just comes down to Jingliu with her s1 wanting more Def shred but also wanting more than just Def shred, AoE Silverwolf (not considering the implant) would honestly be exactly what she wants with def shred + all type res shred.
I think regarding the E1 for Aventurine, the point isn't that keeping up the shield is necessarily the problem (although it can be), but that if you have E1, Aventurine probably won't ever have to use his skill again which makes him a SP positive character which, in a way, changes the 'category' of his character from not just being a (really good) sustain but also a SP generator. I'm also saving up my jades now for when Aventurine comes back so I can get his E1 and maybe S0.
Idk about you but except in cases with very single target heavy bosses, aventurine is already quite sp positive, and for bosses with aoe attacks I almost never need to use his skill
In my case, i don't really need SP positive on Aventurine. When i bring up Aven on my FuA team, topaz already become SP positive. So itsn't worth it to invest Aven E1, better save it for another char.
It's not even about SP-positivity. E1 Aventurine can be built as a slow sub dps so even if your teammates are super fast he can refresh his shields with the ult and still be a solid damage dealer. Also 20% cdmg is better than 30% from Fu Xuan's E1 just because Aventurine himself can use this buff.
But yeah, it all makes sense only with his signature LC and feels pretty unnecessary.

Most likely it’s already overkill anyway. The only time where Sp can be really restraining is if you use an E0 Bronya with a non skill point neutral dps.

Jade E1 is a major game changer. It makes her usable in more game modes and more teams.

I could pull for every character, and yet the only thing stopping me from beating/enjoying the game is relic farming. I have Acheron and Dr ratio which still aren't built, after so many months of just farming the DoT domain and Debuff domain. Its just a pain. Even my Kafka and Black swan are sub par
Ah talking about DOT, I still remember the days where they were so cracked, I was able to clear MOC 12 with ease. I remember thinking "yeps tnis gud enuff, I can take it easy in pulling chars" and seems pretty future proof. . . . Now Im struggling to clear it. The buffs might also have something to do with it but its just a bummer man.
yeah right now im just clearing with acheron and firefly for all game modes except pure fiction, meanwhile my e1s1 kafka sitting on the bench

I love this format of discussing the points made in the comments. I've enjoyed getting Eidolons on some characters.. Like I def have E2S1 Acheron and Firefly. E1 Robin, etc. I don't like how much they lock behind those Eidolons though.. I wish they didn't make them so impactful. But.. guess that's just .. is what it is. I'm a sucker for LC's though..
I prefer Eidolons that change the playstile of units. E1 Jade for example. You have so much more potential teams to play your unit in and that is more fun than simple numbers going up...because at the same time your numbers on the Bank Account are going down.
I like S1 on Sparkle a lot. It's so nice not having to stress about CRate with my Doodoo relics. Play her with FuXuan and I can get by with like 60% CRate. Would love E2 as well, but that would be a luxury pull

Hello EOD, we absolutely would love an eidolon tier list and you can also do one every major updates so that the video would not be repetitive. The tier list will allow us to know what eidolons are not that good at E1 and allow us to think if going for something like an E2 is worth it or not. Team composition differences such as E2 Ruan Mei being subjectively good for certain team compositions can also be considered in the tier list.
A good video idea would be to cover the most valuable eidolons and limited lightcones for meta comps because everyone already knows what characters are needed for each team, but not which part to continue investing in for maximum value.

worth is subjective, a lot of people try to rationalize the amount of money spent but it doesnt really work like that
Select E1s or S1s for your favorites if you want to use them against unfavorable conditions which the endgame is always changing so those are never far away. If your strategy is to take full advantage of the stage buffs with variety of characters most likely the new 5 star than you don't need limited eidolons or signature lightcones
Its much better to vertically invest in at least a couple key supports on your account. If you like 4 star characters or standard 5 star than for sure limited support eidolons are about the only way they can get stronger since even at E6 they can still be way weaker than a limited 5 star.
My current favourite team in Star Rail is my DoT team, I was lucky enough to get Black Swan and her own LC during her first appearance. I was only lacking Kafka that time, and recently I was guaranteed for my Kafka and her LC. Fortunately, I got both Kafka and her own LC early, and boy the synchronicity between Kafka and Black Swan is top notch. Last character I need to complete my DoT team is HuoHuo. Very happy that both of them are now E0S1.

You could just read the lightcones and decide for yourself or don't play a game you don't understand and can't make your own decisions cuz at the end of the day it's your account so it's usually situational. I personally only go for DPS LCs to keep them doing the damage they should.
In terms od enjoyment e0s0 0:44 dps and e2 support is the best way to go
As you can try different archtypes and and characters being e0 makes the game challenging

Got robin with my guranthee and did a random 10 pull after on fexiao's banner and couldnt believe my luck i got her so i used my rest of jades and won on robins E1 as my first ever character eidolon coming from a day 1 player and i have no regrets, she is just busted
Would you recommend getting Feixiao over Robin E1? I have guaranteed and use Robin on my Dot team but Feixiao seems fun
Same lol. It’s good because it brings 4 star characters into relevancy. Building characters is painful. They should juat permanently double the rewards. I have 4 5 star characters that need building. Im vertical i vesting for now until tingyun, and only like really meta characters like fexiao.

I wasn't even planning to pull her i just got super lucky and love using her and paired with robin u will have her bis support which allows her to do crazy numbers plus her colorless break is extremely good and being wind is also pretty rare for a solid dps and will also be great to have coverage wise
Imo it’s best to invest on your different element carries/supports and slowly get to their most powerful eidolons for example E1/E2 RM and FF E2.
I’m a low spender myself and nowadays I managed to have different type of teams built with decent stats makes the game fun for me not gonna lie anyway thank you for the videos lately EoD really enjoyed them 💙
PS: I don’t recommend anyone to whale more like save/plan for your favorites over and over reaching your targeted eidolons.
I'm still a new player so I still need to get my main characters that I'll invest in so most of my Eidolons are on 4 star characters I got when pulling for 5 stars I like. These videos are super useful
I was planning to skip 2.5 1st phase, and saving for E1S1 Lingsha, cause I love her design, then Robin's rerun got confirmed. I went all in for her E2 within 166 pulls (very late pity but I won all 50/50s lol) and I'd say that was the wisest decision I made! My acheron's damage spiked through the roof and now I can even make dps Preservation M7 aka Clara 2.0 viable now, lol. She clears MOC 12 1st half in 2 cycle with Robin/Ruanmei and Pela
Personally, I think in terms of utility S1 has a much higher value for certain paths that lack good 4* LCs like my destruction and hunt units at some point shared about 2-3 LCs between themselves. Also I pulled for Ratio's LC back in Jan and with how I have another 5* LC option for Feixiao now I'm so glad I didn't pull E1 instead.
Edit: Had to buy the final victor LC bc march 8th, feixiao, and moze were running out of cones
I go for low eidolons/cone on my absolute favorite characters, and e0 on everyone else. After playing genshin I realized I liked showing some more love with my fave characters even if it means skipping/saving/going off-meta

Generally speaking, I like horizontal investment, because I like having a variety of characters. Lately, however, i'm finding it hard to become invested emotionally into the latest ones.
So I think i'm going to start investing vertically now unless they give us a playable character I actually have an attachment to. Firefly and Acheron eidolans sound really nice right about now.
my first ever moc12 clear (which was not that long ago, for the record) was with all e0s0 characters. to this day ive pulled a single eidolon and one (1) signature lc in my whole life (e1 robin and ruan mei lc for hmc). life will always find a way you just gotta believe

Personally only pull for eidelons if there are qol or flexibility upgrades. Don’t care at all if they simply increase numbers or about 0 cycles. You can just pull every 2nd-3rd character as ftp and clear everything on auto in this game
No, but they feel nice. I got E1 Robin just to make my Yunli 0 cycle Aventurine with a sustain, it's nice to do stuff like that. But 0 cycle gives the same rewards as 10 cycles.
Personally, I tend to horizontally invest in my dps to ensure I can hit every weakness between my two teams. I've got the two duo dps supports, Ruan Mei and Robin, along with Huohuo and Aventurine. Those allow me to plug and play any dps needed depending on the content. After I hit all my damage types, then I'll prioritize eidolons. Unless any character really speaks to me.
depends on the eidolon value, some eidolons changes the playstyle of some characters for example jade e1 allowing her to be player outside pf or bosses that spawn minions or firefly e1 that allows you to spend sp on harmony tb skill for more dmg, ruan mei skill to get her ult faster or replace gallaher for lingsha cause you wont need that much sp

My current method is to get the base copies to make 2 good teams, and then invest in eidolons upon reruns. I’ve got Feixiao and Acheron at the moment as my main damage dealers.
I’ll probably grab some Acheron copies to increase her longevity and possibly some Robin copies, since she can be used in many different teams! I’ll probably lay off of pulling more new main dps’ for a while.
I only focus on getting signature lightcones rather than eidolons. The pity is less and its higher chance to get at 75%. Also its help to compensate bad relic rng. I still unable to get speed boots for Feixiao until today let alone getting the ideals substat.
I got super lucky on Firefly's banner and won five 50/50s in a row on my way to E2S1 as well as Ruan Mei's LC for trailblazer. It was my first limited eidolon in the game as I only buy the express supply pass. The ultimate irony is that it made the game a little too easy so I ended up taking a break.
3:46, one example from Genshin: Raiden Shoguns C2(wich is the same thing as E2) was like S tier, so i pulled for her extra copies but just got c1(wich is like F tier), after the game development and powercreep, her c2 isn't so appealing as it was cause other characters C2 or even C1 is so broken also that it became difficult to choose
I have extreme anxiety around being able to clear endgame content. The content will always be balanced around e0s0, but if you get unlucky and go to 160 pulls full pity for a character 3 or 4 times in a row, you're suddenly behind on the meta, and if you dont have any vertical investment to carry you it could be hard to clear. Hopping from vertical investment to vertical investment offers a tremendous amount of comfort. Right now, my e2 firefly and hyperinvested e0s1 acheron are carrying my account while I save for an e6 so I can finally stop panicking about one day falling short of a MoC or AS DPS check. I also did this in Genshin with c6 Yelan, but in ZZZ I'm trying to heal my mindset by not pulling any limited chars and trying to be okay with falling short on content. But in HSR I'm already too far gone lol
I understand for me it's more of a mental thing than anything about the actual meta, but I don't like the feeling of getting caught up in a cycle of feeling like you have to pull character after character for your teams to function.

The way the meta changes in HSR I would rather get some Eidolons for some really strong characters.
I got E1 Robin now ,I pulled on her debute ,but her E1S1 is really game changing she made my E0S1 Acheron and Feixiao so strong
Depends on the character. Some fell off with no eidolons. Some(coughJingYuancough) have shit eidolons so they don't even help. I have Black Swan e1s1 and Kafka e1s1 and they need that to keep up with super break and FuA right now. Topaz needs e1s1 or you may as well use March 7th hunt or Moze if you got a bunch of eidolans for him.
Some you don't need, but are insanely good to have, namely Harmony Eidolons. Robin and Ruan Mei's e1's are insanely good value considering how many teams they go on.
Another bonus to eidolons over new characters is that you save more resources. Recently i got both Robin and Feixiao and it has been a big drain in my resources building them both at the same time.
I only E2ed Firefly because I won two 50-50s in a row after getting her E0, eventually winding up with her at E2S1. Otherwise, I would have saved the guarantee for another unit. I tried to do the same earlier for Acheron and her E1, but failed. On the other hand, I did try and got E1 Ruan Mei and E1 Black Swan, ending up with both at E1S1. I won the 50-50 for E1 Jiaoqiu, after I heard that E1 Jiaoqiu, Ruan Mei, and Robin will buff something in a future meta.😊
I will try to E1 my Robin. If I lose the 50-50, I may save the guarantee for Lingsha, whom I was very impressed with in the 2.5 Luminary Wardance event with my E2S1 Firefly against Yanqing, earning an SS rank on my 1st try.
Sometimes the E0S0 trial version of Lingsha dealt two or more consecutive attacks of damage in the six-digit figures, skill and FuA. One was nearly 2 million when Yanqing was completely broken. Lingsha's ults would break Yanqing's locked toughness bars when he had his swords up.
Lingsha goes well with Ruan Mei, HTB, and E1+ Firefly, in which you can spam Lingsha's skill attacks without generally worrying about skill points, provided if you have Ruan Mei's sig lc on a 120+ SPD HTB or HMC instead of on Ruan Mei herself. I hope to get Lingsha to E1 as her value will only go up in the future, and few new abundance units appear to be on the horizon in 3.x, at least for Amphoreus anyway.
I think light cones is better investment and long term value if vertical investing than simple eidolons. You can always use them on other characters as well. You may bench a character but maybe you'll still find use in the lightcones.
Eidolons are needed depending on the team you want to build especially if you want to get every single Jade you can from the events such as Pure Fiction and MOC.
For me, yes for supports since DPS seem to get benched pretty quickly. The only dps I’ll consider getting eidolons for are those with weakness implant or rainbow breakers.
Eidolons aside, I think they need to make a new game mode where they promote/encourage players using older characters.
Imagine a game mode where it rewards you for using a team comprised of factions that rotates every week and points awarded for every stage you beat increases for every character used for said faction, amount of turns taken.
This will probably encourage more people to use older characters.
For me, only paying for the monthly pass with no x2 Jade spend and having 1~2 E0S0~1 characters per patch is enough to have fun.
The best benefit is that I can 0-cycle MoC. But in most scenarios, I can still auto-battle and clear most of the endgame content.
If there was an option to turn Eidolon on or off, it might make me want to spend money to unlock more Eidolons for my fav characters.
I think it would be really cool if you sorted the best value eidolons into your 8 teams diagram! Instead of a tier list you can split up which eidolons are worth pulling for each team archetype
My 2 cents would be that my most vertically invested team is E0S1 Firefly with E1S0 Ruan Mei and it's getting me 3 stars clears for every content. You just have to solve some puzzles through composition
I think that if you do an eidolon tierlist it should probably be each character's best eidolons (1 or 2?) rather than just ranking ALL of them... that way it wouldn't get as bogged down by the sheer bulk of them and how FOMO it is to have or not.
I'd be actually much more into a LC tierlist though.
the only eidolon i have is e1 ruan mei, who i love since i build many characters (luka, xueyi, guinaifen, march etc.) as break units. originally i thought about pulling e2 acheron whenever her rerun will be, but im clearing content fine with her e0s1, so a new unit will be a better investment
SO many people only talk about eidolons (or in genshin's case, constellations) in a vacuum to "objectively" talk about how great they are, but doing that ignores exactly what you said about needing early eidolons to get to the later ones. Plus, the early ones sometimes interact with the subsequent ones, making "bad" eidolons/constellations actually super good. It always confused me on people's little character guide sheets that they ranked eidolons as if people could choose which ones to unlock. I definitely think it makes sense to rank them by character, because you can also discuss relevant teams which may impact which eidolons make sense for which people. Like Acheron E2 is great and all but is it possible having Jiaoqiu will create the same or similar dmg increase, yada yada
Saying this as a whale... I pretty much only lock in for copies on characters I super love, which ensures there are no regrets. If you really love a character, you will always end up finding the ways to make them work, so perhaps investing into getting more copies of them will be worth to you; you can always do it over time because you also never know when hyv is gonna drop a support for your fave. Looking at Xiao's glowup in genshin with Faruzan, Xianyun, etc. years after his release.

E1 Fu Xuan is the best investment I ever made in this game lmao. Comes pretty close to E2 Firefly for me.
For me personally, I like pulling for E0S1 or E0 for most characters, if newer characters are stronger then perfect, if not then I can pull eidolons and LC
After spending more pulls on acherons lightcone than any of the 10 e0 s0, I've sworn off ever getting another eidolon or lightcone
Harmony/support unit eidolons are probably the only eidolons worth the investment. Eidolons for dps units is a straight up luxury.

Focusing the Eidolons that actually change the gameplay : Jade E1, Aventurine E1, FF E2,...
It depends- I'd argue that without her E1 Jade becomes a much clunkier chracater that is shoehorned into a specific game mode, but with her E1 she becomes super versatile, way more powerful, and just loads of fun to play. But there aren't tons of characters like that tbf.
It's also a reason why very little people want to pull her. Her e1 is basically required to unlock the full character enough thats it's worth it.
@@Rainbowsaur I love follow ups and the IPC in general (I think they're zesty, stylish, and a bit evil) so I knew I wanted to get her, so I saved up for her E1 ahead of time, and I do not regret pulling for her at all. Is she broken? No not at all, but she's very fun.
Love your content, especialy recently! I never go for eidolons but i do go for lightcones from time to time. With topaz coming up...never got her...but everyone else on the FUA Teams...so do i need her lightcone ?
No, but it does make the game a hell lot easier and is a QoL improvement for some team compositions or characters
as of now, i prefer eidolons on 4-star characters since the current game state doesn't need multiple eidolons for 5-star characters. having S1 is usually better since a lightcone can be used on multiple characters
And Eidolon tier list would be really good if divided by class, like “Dps” “support”

Firefly is the only character I have eidolons for. I just liked the character and the story arc.
Short term, no, I'm pretty sure there are people out there that are capable of 0 cycling today's moc with an e0 seele
Long term, yes, maybe not in a year, but in 3 or 4 you'll probably have to get some eidolons or maybe superimpositions so that your favorite character stays in tip top shape when competing with the fresh new units, but that era is still some years away, again, characters that don't even have their theoretical best teammates like jing yuan are still capable of performing really well
as a person with e6 sparkle you definitely should go for high eidolons because game feels way more fun if you have e6
I was waiting for the next comment after you finished the video... I lucked up and pulled two Blades in the same 10 pull, so I wanted to know if what it said about maybe an HP buffer making that Eidolon marginally better.
One reason i am considering is that even as f2p i am not close to being done with relics for the characters i already own. There is no point in getting new characters if i cant even get them good relics cause i already have couple that i waana gear first. And yes good relics do matter if your team is e0 no signature
hey eod, I appreciate your community mindset over the teacher/student mindset. I know this is a video on eidolons but I was wondering if you or anyone else here can give me some advice on e0 aventurine:
out of all my dps characters, I have the hardest time making dr. ratio work well. I just recently got robin, but I’m having a hard time choosing a debuffer / debuffing sub dps and a sustain. I have been doing silver wolf and fu xuan but I’m struggling with skill points. I also have e2s1 sparkle (I got very lucky as a f2p!) but at that point I’d rather play qingque mono quantum.
so far I have the most success with ratio / hunt march / silver wolf / fu xuan. but it still feels underwhelming compared to my other teams. I also want to play moze and save march for another team.
*my question is: is aventurine enough of an upgrade over my other sustains (fx, huohuo, gallagher) to really elevate my ratio team?* I’m hesitant to try to get him, because I’m interested in the potential summon meta, I already have 2 limited sustains, and I literally have 0 pulls right now 😅
if it’s not worth it, is there any other way I can play moze? ratio, march, and clara are my only other follow up dps lol
I usually get Eidolons on my 5 stars, because I was chasing for a certain 4 star's E6.

In HSR is not so need it.
Few Eidolons are worth it, and just if you win the 50/50.
My top E1 before Lingsha will be:
1) E1 Robin
2) E1 RM
3) E1 Firefly
4) E1 Black Swan

@@razvyz8067 Not really, it's just that I have a different strategy and outlook in life during that time. Plus, I got really lucky when I beat the 50/50. I wanted to avoid the long grinding sessions and not use primogems for resin. I also want to spend more time with career and less time on Genshin, but I'm still like competitive and couldn't let go of Genshin. By C4 Raiden and perfecting her artifact and team, I am still able to clear Abyss on any side of floor, while my other team can take their sweet time.
It was about beating abyss to get extra primogems but additionally it was also about investing in time and mental energy for real life.
LOL , I beat Abyss with C0 Kuki and Dendro traveler. I don’t even have Raiden. Second team I use c0 Furina team. Don’t need eidelons or constellations in both games to be successful.
C4 Raiden was my chosen charater in 2021, because she frees up 1 slot in the team. She can do battery/energy regen and dps. So, 2 supports to boost her and 1 healer

Personally I go for lightcones of dps I like. It's my way of making them last longer and it's my way of showing I like the character. Getting E6 of characters kind of ruins the fun for me and does the opposite.
I love to buid many characters and have all mine well-built but getting the occasional Es is the way for me.
More people need to realize this. The amount of Robin e1 shilling is insane. There's infinity reddit questions of "x or y for Feixiao", and soooo many answers are Robin e1, even if that wasn't included as an option. Robin e1 over Aven, over Topaz, over Fei LC. My answer is always the same: if you like one of those characters AT ALL, they are infinitely more worth than a background stat stick (unless you really love Robin). If you really like Fei and only tolerate Robin at best, even Fei LC is more worth imo because you never know if there will come a new character that works as well or better for her, and it ups her strength in teams outside of Robin if you want to play a different comp. I only pull eids on characters I love and want viable in as many teams as possible (only Topaz and BS so far), and would suggest the same to anyone, and really only after your roster is already fleshed out very well.

It's an amazing eidolon and worth it if you want to use Robin for a long time or think it will extend the usability of a different character you really like that doesn't have great personal eids. I just don't like instilling fomo in people. Telling people they NEED it and that it's point blank better than having a new character they'd like is just false. If I loved Robin, I'd pull it, but I don't and won't.
If you have your two teams built then e1 Robin is the way to go. It makes it so you can ignore enemy element type.

Oh neat, I made the cut! Nothing against people that vertical invest, I have actually pulled 5 sigs so far, just no eidolons for me personally. Doesn't seem to be an issue in your conment section, but certain other HSR communities run with the "x eidolon is required" narrative sometimes and it can get a little tiresome. You can absolutely still clear endgame right now without them (obvs depending on your elemental coverage and 4* spread)
