Interesting video, Steve. Nice seeing the old machine work. I have an old JD model 43 sheller that I used when I picked corn and was raising pigs. They didn't need the cobs. It is a much smaller machine.
That's awesome ! I love watching that old farm equipment being used . I would like to get an old hand crank sheller for my heirloom corn . Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend !
I had 2 old John Deere corn Shelley’s. The one I had was getting in pretty rough shape. I found one at a farm sale that was just like new. The paint wasn’t even worn off the chute. Tires just like new. I think I gave $35 for it. My Dad was sure tickled when I drug that home.
That is an antique show on it's own Steve, super awesome
Pretty impressive machine, they said it could shell an entire crib of corn in under an hour!
Thanks Jan
Always like seeing the older methods of doing things around the farm. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Pretty awesome Steve 😁

They had a lot of hand crank shelters at the show, I see them on FB marketplace too
Nice video Steve, thanks for sharing it with us. Take care and have a blessed weekend my friend.
Thanks Tony, hope all is well with you and yours!
That's really cool to watch!!! Thank you for sharing Steve!!!
Well thank you for watching Evan!
It seems to be working well. More quiet than the MM shellers I remember.
Thank you Steve.
A pretty slick running machine
Thanks Bryce
That was nice to watch. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for stopping by
Wow that’s a lot of gear operating all at once. No wonder farmers had hired hands back then.
I never thought about it that way, but you are right!
Great video. We had Minneapolis Moline shellers. And an auger on the tractor for cleaning out the crib. Hardly any scooping needed.
No scooping would be a big bonus! Every bin we had required shoveling

Nice catch Steve, it was not that long ago the neighbor was still using one of these but l did not have the foresight to record it.
Thanks Fred, how’s things up your way? It’s been dry here, but we are getting some good rains now
I do not miss shelling out of bins when -10 outside !!!
You got that right!
