Now many airlines change the way they award their loyal members. Their mileage rewards and member status are based on how much you spend per year, not the total of mileages you fly.
CarLover21 that is the first class United introduced on their 747s in the 1990s. The Iconic United Airlines 747s were retired in 2017. United airlines 747s were one of the most iconic planes in avaition with their upper level lounge in the 1970s and 80s. When United got the 747-400 in the 90s(at the time the brand new 747 varient) United took the lounge out and introduced lie flat first class seats. When United retired the 747 their new planes had the new Polaris Bisness class instead. The Polaris class has been added to most United planes that fly flights over 6 hours.
Guess I'm not so strange now. I've taken a local rental car because I was a few days short of the Executive level at National Car Rental. I did take the car on a trip, but was only 2 of the 5 days I had it. I've never "flown" anywhere just to get miles....I think that is a little out there. But the credit car thing? Sure, it can be done.
Not only love flying but your life revolves around first class seats. Basically that guy switched hotels each night to get a first class ticket. Basically 2 to 3 hours per a day of vacation was wasted checking in and out of a hotel every day. 3:10 The guy who spent over 2 days in an airport and airplane alone is just weird. Even if all those flights were first class which I am 99% sure it was not, I still wouldn't do it.
how do you spend 3 hours checking in a hotel? its not a fucking airport? and do you really need to be at disney land for 20 hours because you paid for a days pass?
Good point. It takes all kinds to make the world. I personally wouldn't go to the extreme tactics.. However, I know people who only dream of domestic/foreign travel and who grew up with modest means. If they find an honest way to do it using one of these methods, best of luck.
Last year, I bought a tablet using frequent flyer miles. There were only a few items available to be purchased, among those that I considered purchasing using miles. It seems that the # of miles required is still high. That said, on a trip from Edmonton back to Toronto, I did get to fly in business class for just a few hundred bucks more. I do like to fly in comfort if possible, as long as the price is reasonable.
Dave Ramsey doesn't want even financially responsible people to get credit cards. If you can manage your money, why not use the system to fly in luxury?
The best way to fly first class for free is to have your lover pay for it... Ohh you also get the whole package for free from spa treatments and dinners. All for free.
but in order to earn miles, need to spend actual money to fly right? also in order to get sign up bonus, need to spend several $k in the first few months.
wait untill all of you get on airplane got shot and accident in the airplane, its scary to fly, i had flying to some parts in the world and its getting scarier and scarier out there
all these methods cost thousands... renting 1 car for 1 day cost about £100, 12 cars is £1200 potentially and for £1000 you can but 100,000 miles. this to me looks like sponsored BS
Yes it is true, I’m on a group called 10xtravel look them up on google, there are stories almost everyday on how people are booking business or first class with just sign up bonuses Also they post error fares or just cheap economy flights, I got one from San Diego to Madrid for 412 with checked bags and will be getting frequent flier miles
This is bullcrap. You can get the same miles with your debit card that's hooked up into your checking account. You don't need a credit card to get FF miles now. You just register your debit card with your FF account. I went to St. Maarten, Mexico and Aruba using my American FF miles that I got with my debit card. Dining, buying online, doing online surveys, all these give miles now plus more.
Cassandra Glowacki Think before you type dumbass. The sign up bonus which gets you a TON of miles is what's important and why people like us apply for so many.
and other perks like free travel ins, no foreign trans. fees, free checked bag, more bonus miles for spending over certain amt, etc, depending on which travel card once uses. There's a big savings -- if you travel frequently.

The CEO of IKEA flys in economy all the time.
+lookherenow2 This is called self abuse.
He's a multi billionaire...
The Nordic Europeans are known to be humble and frugal
Typical bum..
lookherenow2 He steals salt from restaurants too so yeah
This only applies for the US. In the Netherlands this could never happen, because the are extreme cheapskates.
yes, In the UK the flights are soo cheap but expensive in the holiday
That business class looks terrible
that‘ s ugly United for you.... the world‘s worst airline
B WB Look at Polaris by United. Going from worst bisness class in the US to the best. Going from a below average US airline to above average.

This isn't something most people would do. You got to really love flying.

just learned today that some people like you apparently spend 2-3 hours checking in and out of a hotel
Flying and traveling is awesome, but this seems a bit much

TH-cam recommends me about flying in the year where everyone can't fly. TH-cam algorithm at it's best!
Very insightful, its all about knowledge.

Not Dave Ramsey approved.

The actual trick to get first class for cheap is booking to secondary cities and flying in the fall and spring
The best way to fly first class for free is to have your lover pay for it... Ohh you also get the whole package for free from spa treatments and dinners. All for free.
wish i could fly bussiness call JUST ONCE!! :(
my mom is a flight attendant so i do the same thing
Why do American Airlines flight attendants make as much noise as they do when lights are out, and passengers are desperately trying to sleep?
This game is already over. Taxes have gone through the roof and airlines have changed the mileage requirements and tickets available.
I just pay for First Class
Bruh
The credit is scary 💀
That was partly shot at ohare int. Airport right?
but in order to earn miles, need to spend actual money to fly right? also in order to get sign up bonus, need to spend several $k in the first few months.

Your telling me that I had to spend thousands from a flight from Us to Asia and I could of just done this 😑

all these methods cost thousands... renting 1 car for 1 day cost about £100, 12 cars is £1200 potentially and for £1000 you can but 100,000 miles. this to me looks like sponsored BS
What have i been doing all my life :o

Yes it is true, I’m on a group called 10xtravel look them up on google, there are stories almost everyday on how people are booking business or first class with just sign up bonuses
Also they post error fares or just cheap economy flights, I got one from San Diego to Madrid for 412 with checked bags and will be getting frequent flier miles
Well The Points Guy is a popular channel in youtube that posts travelling in business class/first class using miles and a little of top up
Reminds me of Pokemon Go hacks, amirite?
doesn't work for American airlines. they don't count rental car and credit card purchases for miles. U have to fly to get the miles
