No Gabe no, no, no! You missed it! I have been in many of the greatest airports in the world, including Singapore and previously I would have rated that one the best, but this is by far better than Singapore. If you are able, you need to get there early enough so that you see the other half of the airport, the part before you go to Departure, it is full of breathtakingly amazing gardens, sculptures, beautiful shops, a futuristic tram. The amenities are amazing, for instance you can go to the spa, the most amazing shower I have ever had, massages, etc. Everything is above first class! It is incredible!
Interesting. That seems strange that the nicest area is before you go through security, so most people miss it and if you do see it, you aren't going to want to stay there long. Next time I'll be sure to look for that area.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos definitely, get there at least hours early rather than 2 and enjoy the experience! I'm sure you could probably google somewhere what is actually there.
We passed through that Doha airport back in July in route from Amman to Kolkata on Qatar. I wandered around, just like you did trying to stretch my legs, and just like you, did not find anything that made me say wow. I am surprised to hear that it was voted number one in the world.
Hamad International is impressive, but Changi still feels unbeatable with its unique features like the butterfly garden and massive indoor waterfall. Both airports set the bar high! ✈️🌍
Yay, India! Wishes granted! 😊 We were lucky to get a great deal on Qatar Airways First Class in Fall 2022 when travel was just coming back after the pandemic. Their First Class lounge in Doha (our connection) is amazing so we were there most of the layover. I agree with you that there are too many high end stores though. I kept looking for a convenience store and never found one. Other than the lounge, I didn’t see anything special about this airport.
I hope you will show us your airport tours way more often Gabe. It’s part of the travel and for me my vacation start as soon as I set foot in an airport!
We had a delay in Mumbai and arrived later in Doha, they where welcoming us and told us we will be fine enough time to get your connecting flights, awesome airport
Another you tuber called solo solo travel flew out of Qatar Doha to Paris but he was flying on this round the world ticket on first class, it was pretty amazing they served him meals, had a bar , lounge and shower area. What you showed me reminds me of charlotte, nc airport in a way. It has lots of shops but charlotte has a nice food court.
Wow, this airport is absolutely breathtaking! 😍 The architecture, the art installations, and all the amenities make it truly stand out. Definitely adding Doha's airport to my must-visit list! ✈ Thanks for sharing this amazing tour!
Wow, this airport is absolutely stunning! 😍 The architecture, the art installations, and the overall design are just breathtaking. Definitely the best airport I've ever seen in a video. Qatar just moved up on my travel bucket list! ✈🌍 Thanks for sharing this amazing tour!
IMO, Hamad International Airport deserves that “best airport” title for 2024. The place has a modern design, with standout art pieces like the giant teddy bear sculpture, and the layout makes getting around pretty easy even when it’s packed. Changi’s got cool features too, but HIA has a smooth flow and a unique vibe.
Welcome back to Asia Gabe. Looking forward to the India vlogs and hopefully Thailand and the rest of SE Asia as well. These countries are your strong suit and why I subscribed many years ago.
The lack of convenience stores with food might be due to the taboo on eating in spaces that are viewed as "public" in many Arab countries, certainly that was the case when I was in Egypt.
Airports all look the same, expensive. I paid S$25.00 for a glass of wine at Changi airport. That ended up being approx Aus$28.00, ouch! Thanks for the tour of Hamad airport, it does look nice though and safe travels through India.❤
Hi there! I actually like the airport tour, even without the Orchard! I really dislike airport, because I miss being in the open air and it's always so cold in summer. But I find it fascinating that is a passing place for so many people and nobody really care too much about it. have been to Telluride in the late 90s and I loved it. I remember the airplane we took it was a bit scary and very small. In Telluride I went riding a very quiet horse with the cowboy Roudy in the snowy woods and it was pretty awesome. He is still in the business of touring people on horses. And I went to see the mining sites with all the mementos about that difficult life in the past. As you do I arrive always early at the airport, at least 3 hrs, just because you are never sure about the traffic and I prefer to wait there, than to miss the flight. I can't wait to see a bit of India as I have never been there. Thanks for sharing!
Not sure about all the flashing digital advertising at this airport. Airports are busy in general with lots of signs, which is an overload on the senses.
Hi Gabriel. In 2007 or so i made my first youtube vodeo about me hitching.. I had some views but didn't think it was worth producing content about travel. "who would be interested in my travels" i thought.. Then a few years later I saw your channel... You had about 100k subs and i started hating myself for not having done more videos from the early days of youtube 😢 Last year.. Through me living in a nomad hub i saw so many people mention you.. You visited the infamous town at that time.. .... I was surprised how many people know you too!. Today, i told this stroy to my nephew....and out of curiosity i checked your channel.. Wtf.. 600k! Congratulations tanja
That's cool to hear. It's definitely one of the secrets to my success, I got into the game early before there was much competition. I passed 100k in 2017, so it took about 7 years to get to that point, then another 7 years to get to 600k.
Hey man, great to see you’re headed back to the Mothership😃 looks like I’m not gonna make it for a while so I’m looking forward to this nearly as much as you 😂 Happy trails dude.
Its amazing/interesting that you tend to throw yourself at the deep end every time you visit India by visiting Delhi first especially when you have those relentless touts waiting at the airport that just wont take no for an answer! anyway you are definitely not a beginner when it comes to visiting the country so I'm sure you got through all of that just fine.
All this fretting about where to find some decent pre-flight food, and you could have just gone directly to your gate to do so. heh That Dubai flyover was a nice bonus, though!
Gabe, please be honest. Have you EVER encountered any bed bugs, at any place you've visited or stayed at, in all your years of travels? Just curious. Thanks.
Hi Gabriel, wow you manifested your parents getting late to the airport and you said had 1 hour before boarding scary. I'm guessing you're looking to fight with the flat earthers after looking at the entire world's islands looking flat from a distance. The train is a nice touch and gets you anywhere quick.
One airport rules them all...Singapore. These rankings tend to be BS and I suspect there's alot of handshake deals etc to influence them. For example Istanbul is highly rated but for passengers it's awful and has nowhere near the amenities of many othr airports. The criteria tend to include airport services for airlines (not passengers). Looking forward to India!!!
Mr. Gabriel:Thanks you so much for your new remarkable video today’s to heads @ the international Airport in Doha, Qatar to shows those amazing places in great joy 2024❤❤❤
Come on Gabe, you know Changi will always be the best. Just for the food, Changi blows away Doha Airport. You really gonna but Burger King and KFC against Michelin star restaurants (Putien, Tsuta, Kam's Roast, Tim Ho Wan), some of the best Japanese Wagyu chains, Crave Nasi Lemak etc? 😂. There's no remote contest. Plus all of the best shops from Japan, NYC etc. Best coffee chains in the world (Bacha, Arabica etc).
When you relax elevate your foot when you can. Keep wriggling your toes!! Wear an ankle support that is firm but not too tight. Use alternate hot /cold compresses.
