Simpson Strong-Tie E-Z Mender review 4 x 4 fence post repair

When I use these easy menders I end up breaking out the cement on one side of the old post removing it putting the mender in place and backfill in it with new cement. Works great! Plenty strong.

Thanks for chiming in. I got some post to repair during the Spring. Do you use a chisel and a sledge to break the cement?

@@wkdewok yes and dig a hole large enough to work around the old cement. Remove it. Put EZ in it’s place, lag bolt and screws. Backfill 60 lb bag. They work great. Plenty of strength.
