    Thank you for the crow's foot extension tip (re: threaded ball joints). I thought there must be some super expensive Porsche tool I'd have to buy... turns out there's a much simpler solution. I'm not sure I'll manage to squeeze it into the spot you were having trouble with either, but it'll come in handy in larger clearance areas like the ball joints for the anti-roll bar and toe control arm.

    This is gotta be the most informative video I’ve seen someone working on a cayman. Thanks cliff please keep ‘em coming!

      Thank you. Unfortunately, a technical problem caused the loss of the raw video for one entire episode and part of another. I'm working on getting the rest of the series out soon!

    If that nut on that bolt comes loose , that bolt will fall out , anyway , put the bolt head on top so if it does fall out , it just rattles around , gravity keeps it in , the way you did it , if it comes out , then falls out on the ground

    well that looks like muscle wrenching work. I'd recommend using an impact driver to get the suspension bolts apart. I've taken the front suspension apart in my car half dozen times in the past year and it goes really quickly with a cordless.

      In my experience, an impact driver won't even come close to getting them out. And I've had an impact wrench shear them off.

    How are the Godspeed caster links? Are you happy with them?

      I just ordered some for the front and rear I guess I'll find out. I'm actually running Godspeed toe arms and dog bones I haven't had a problem with them yet!

    Hey, Cliff would you recommend the Godspeed control arms?

    That looks like a rear toe arm on my 350Z , made by Truhart , like $200 no more

    Hey Cliff just curious after a year would you recommend those Godspeed control arms?

    • @CliffsGarage
      @CliffsGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, I would not. A seal has failed on three out of the four arms. It hasn't affected anything yet, but it's just a matter of time.

    How’s the build and reliability of the Elephant Racing LCAs? Thinking of getting those from my 911 997.2.

      I very much do NOT recommend the Elephant Racing LCAs. They're a giant pain to adjust, basically the adjustment/lock nuts are too narrow. Also, the arms for the ride height sensors are a half-assed hack. I also don't recommend their camber plates, the stud slider is very cheaply made and I've had two of them break.

      @@CliffsGarage I was seriously considering their GT3 arms. What are other aftermarket LCA would you recommend or say has a better build quality?

      @@CliffsGarage I have flat wrenches (from my bicycle mechanic days...) and they work *very* well to easily adjust the Elephant LCAs. Check out Park Tools or any other flat wrenches, having them that narrow and close allows for that squeezing method to tighten them against each other.
