Eye pokes happen most often with longer fighters pushing away from advancing shorter fighters. They get away with it waaay too often. Jury employs the John Jones fingers extended defense, ref does nothing...
Michael Ball ref stopped the fight and gave him a break.

Nothing wrong with posting and trapping the hand. Wish less eye pokes happens and wished less people assumed those eye pokes are intentional.
@@ianu7225 You are responsible for your eye pokes just like you are for wayward kicks. When you continue to do it over and over, as a guise for an innocent push off, people start to make the correct assumption that it's intentional. Jon Jones passed that point a long time ago. Now it's a staple for his pussy style of fighting. He knows he'd get owned if shorter fighters could negate his length advantage but the refs do nothing to stop this obvious abuse. Imagine Mike Tyson getting eye poked every time he tried rushing past his opponents defense to land his power. Guess he was just lucky he fought in a sport that utilized full gloves. Wish people would stop apologizing for his skirting the rules at his opponents expense.
Michael Ball I’m just speaking from personal experience. Once I saw jones and Conor do it I threw it into the game plan it works wonders. Call it what you want but we’re both right.
Both are fun to watch, Jury is good at avoiding big shots majority of the time with nice timing and distance. Girtz is good at applying constant pressure and throwing bombs.

I wonder why Jury didn't kick Brandon's leg more often. It looks like the eye poke may have turned things around. How many times do we see that? A fighter gets eye-poked or kicked in the groin, and the other guy get momentum, and goes on to win the fight.

Joe Marshall the eye poke was a accident. Girtz moved a lot so it was hard to get clean kicks off on this leg
@@theteamfury No doubt it was an accident. I'm not blaming anyone. I have just noticed that these things slow a fighter down. big John talked about getting a new kind of glove that helps prevent it...i think it might be a good idea
Mma mittens instead of gloves. Dont allow exposed fingertips or fingers to spread but hands can still freely move
