    Ive been driving the 2L 110 KW DSG version for 3 Years now 45.000km per year. Great for distance driving, great for hauling the family. Its a car for use, not for Status or feelings. I dont care, i love it. probably my next one will be Superb too ;)

      They are still a status car may not a bentley or 7 series but most certainly a luxury car.

    Absolutely love my Superb!, have had 3 and collect my new 69 plate this week. Diesel version, L & K spec so fully loaded. Like the man says "Superb by name and superb by nature". I am registered disabled and the boot is well served for taking my mobility scooter out for the day. The legroom and heated rear seats keep my guests in total comfort and the new satnav display in front of the steering wheel is going to be a great advantage,
    Looking for a quality estate - you HAVE to look at the Superb or you're letting yourself down!!

    I have a 2007 Skoda Octavia diesel wagon I've had for nearly 10 years with 240,000 kms on it. I must say it has been one of the most dependable cars I've owned. The only two components replaced were the air conditioner compressor (hardly surprising in Western Australia), and a fuel pump in the engine bay that was leaking a bit. Even the original DSG gearbox is still fine, and given their reputation, that's saying something too!
    Everything electrical still works and it's comfortable to drive. I'd definitely recommend the brand despite the stigma.

    I own a 2015 with 210k km on it...only had one issue, a thermostat failed...that’s it ! New one next year (4x4) estate as why would I need to be a badge snob and go for a vw or Audi as they are in real terms no better. A excellent car.

      Skoda, VW and Audi are all part of the same motor group. They are all luxury cars and it really depends on what style you like.
      I live in America were the choice cars are a lot better but there are no Skoda cars but a hell of a car can be got in America for nearly half the price of cars in Europe.

    We had ordered a bmw 320d m sport touring but because of covid we was unable to get the car from the dealership, which meant we still needed to get an estate car from an other source, we went to skoda and fell in love with the skoda superb estate. Because we was able to get such a great deal on the car we chose to buy a used superb 2.0 190 tdi dsg sel executive estate. It was absolutely fully loaded and a no brainer not to buy it .both my wife and I love the car ,its a joy to drive and a pleasure to own .im so glad I missed out on the bmw because this car is hands down a better car for the money. Its without doubt the best car we have ever bought and ive owned a jaguar a Mercedes untold fords and a bmw m3 before. But the skoda does a bit of everything that little bit better. Simply skoda.

    I have had a Superb Estate before and loved the car. I was a vehicle examiner and know how well built Skoda's are. I then changed to a Kodiaq and loved that, but as I type this I am waiting for my new 2022 Superb Estate CE L to be delivered. You comments in this video, say it all, Superb by name, Superb by nature. Even the German Police are using them alongside BMW's and love them. Need I say more. Oh one thing, the indicators work on the Skodas haha!

    I’ve had a 19 plate Superb hatchback, 1.5 litre petrol, SEL Executive DSG for 6 months. It’s the best car I’ve ever had. Masses of room, very comfortable and very well equipped. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend one. Can’t wait to get another one.

      @@Godot28 hi Mike, I have the 1500cc petrol engine in my Superb. Lots of power and acceleration. I’ve also got the automatic gearbox which is extremely good. If I go on a motorway I put the cruise control on as soon as possible. I get 50mpg on a long journey but probably only 40 ish on short runs. The car is built for long journeys and is extremely quiet so listening to the radio is not a problem. Also in the SEL model I have a CD player installed in the glove box. This also has connections for a computer if things such as the sat. nav need upgrading. The only criticism I have is that I do not have a rear view camera so reversing is not as easy as it could be but the sensors back and front ensure you don’t have a problem. Hope this helps. Mike

    I bought a year old Superb back in 2015 with 14k on the clock. Still have it, now with 118k. Best car I’ve ever owned, a joy to drive and totally reliable with nothing other than required servicing, tyres and bulbs since I got it. If it wasn’t so good I’d have changed it for another Superb by now!. Oh yes, it’s the lowly S version that cost me a £12950 from a Skoda dealer. I added beepers front and rear for £400 after I got it home. Amazing value, amazing car.

    I bought a Sport Line DSG Diesel 2.0Ltr Estate on a 67 plate. It was 6 months old, an ex demonstrator. Got most of the extras fitted. Black on 19" rims. Replaced the front and rear silver Skoda badges with black ones. Removed the "Skoda" and "Superb" letters from the tail gate ( Komb3). Had it re mapped for a 50/50 economy / performance map. Driven "sensibly" returns about 45-50MPG round the town and motorway ? On a full tank, drove from Berkshire to Edinburg and then down into the Lake District and still had 1/4 of a tank, and my motorway driving is not "sedate". In sport mode, round the town, it is a lot of fun. Very sharp responsive steering. Pushed the tyres out to the maximum allowable width for the standard rims. Stuck to the factory fitted tyre brands as I find these are the most reliable for wear and road holding, especially in the wet. I do enjoy the having fun with the VW Golfs and BMW`s who pull along side and look down their collective noses at this poor old lumbering Skoda estate only to be left playing catch up away from the lights. As the reviews will tell you, her on You Tube, they are huge inside. Also love the adaptive headlights that turn to "look round corners" with the steering. Sat nav is very accurate as is the miles left on available fuel readout. For sure a "keeper"

    Just got my 2nd hand L & K model, 2016 with 29,500 on it. Rare red.daring to be different, with lovely cream inreior. Added bonus to the already fantastic spec, is a stupid electronic handbrake that releases without having to press the wretched button, and a truly amazing pop down tow bar that hides tucked away behind the bumper. Only slight critisism so far are the back seats not folding down to provide a complete flat surface. Doesn't feel much slower than the Octavia vRS diesel I used to own tbh, and 50+ mpg around town is pretty damned good too....60+ on a run. Excellent car.

  • @mikeonfreeserve2926
    @mikeonfreeserve2926 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice. But an obvious fault for this big estate is the loading lip and the fact that the rear seats do not fold flat, like on my Avensie which is a superb load lugger. Hopefully, Skoda will remedy this on a newer version.

  • @athollmcnicoll256
    @athollmcnicoll256 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Certainly looks the kind of car that could be utilized for camping as it has a large boot and the fold down seats give you pillows and with the auto box and a range of around 600 miles - yes I like it but cannot afford it right now so I'll wait a few years and see what is available 2nd hand.

    My greatest complaint about Skoda cars is the lack of noise proofing insulation. Also not many car reviewers point this out but the cars are LOUD. In a short distance, low speed city traffic driving scenario you might not notice it, but go on a highway and drive longer distance with speed greater than 120km/h and you will suffer from noise fatigue. You can also hear it in this video, once the car is running, the humming sound in the background. You won't get this with audi/bmw/merc.

    I have the 190 DSG sportline. IMHO the best car ive ever had. Previous to this car I had the BMW 3 320D LUX. Wasn't terrible , but seats were cheap , thin , raised floor , off set peddles all made for a disappointing day to day life. The only thing I don't like is the assisted cruise, its goes out of calibration so easy and reading reviews , reviews tell me that the calibration isn't covered in warranty. Slight issue to get over. Another downpoint , it likes to eat tyres , big heavy engine , 400 torque and youl see the fronts down in 12-15 months. The plus point is that torque , good fun. For 1.2 seconds you have an RS6. Don't race an RS anything as they will rip your spleen out and laugh.

    • @LelouchLamperouge235
      @LelouchLamperouge235 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What exactly loses calibration ? Is it the Lane Assist part that's keeping you in between lanes or the actual radar that's keeping distance from other cars ? I would believe the former but the latter part is usually quite reliable.

      @LelouchLamperouge235 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@greezoid56 my bad, that actually looks like it has lost its calibration. Never happened to me as of yet. Be warned, if a car actually thinks someone has agressively overtaken you with no room to spare, it will take control of the steering wheel and activate the multi-collision braking system. The only fault i have ever discovered in the assisted cruise control is that if there is a multi-lane road with big bends, it can react to cars that technically are in front of you at the moment but in reality are in a different lane.

      Beats the hell out of me. The only SUV I'd ever consider owning if I ever could afford it would be the Toyota Land Cruiser; and not because it's big and imposing but because almost every component that goes into building one is designed to last at least 20 years.

    I’ve had my Superb Sportsline diesel estate from January 2018. It’s been a brilliant car, never once letting me down. It’s a fantastic well worked out car. It did take a Few days to conquer reversed parking as it is a long car. Servicing is also great value at £220 for a standard/intermittent service and £380 for a full service. Their after sales support is exceptional too.

      @MrTangolizard 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      William Ormonde the fact u think that price for a service is good is rather worrying they only change the oil and filter

    • @William45ish
      @William45ish 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      MrTangolizard they don’t just do that! They give the car a full inspection from the front bumper to the back bumper. They also check the tyres, brake discs, brake lines, gearbox too and inspect for any oil or hydraulic fluid leaks as well from under the car. If any fluids are needed, they see to it as it’s part of the price. They also do a full diagnostic test and send you a video by email to show you that they have inspected it!! I couldn’t be happier with the after sales service of Skoda. My car tells me by ŠkodaConnect when it needs a service, once I ok it, the system gets in touch with my dealership to book a service and organise a curtesy car as well. That’s all in the price too. When I take the car in, everything is ready for me.

      William Ormonde lol they do a visual inspection something that I can do myself any one that is sucked in by main dealer rubbish deserve to pay what was 250/350 pound for a oil change it’s just laughable find yourself a good independent mechanic and they will do a better job for at least 1/3rd less the only time I’ve ever used main dealers they messed up my car they over charge and they put a apprentices on it anyway inspection from bumper to bonnet lol yeah I’ve seen the videos it’s a scam it is not acceptable to charge that for such little work mercedesare even worse they charge or tried to charge me 541 for a service I laughed at them but who am I to say where u should spend your money I would rather give it to the guy in my town with 40 years experience than a multi national company that employs a guy on 18k a year

      William Ormonde listen I have a Mercedes e class my car will phone Mercedes and book it in for me if I ever let it which I don’t they keep your car for the best part of a day and overcharge I bought my car new and wouldn’t let them near it with 1 exception the gearbox fluid change as they are the only ones at the moment who have the machine to do it but as soon as the independents buy them buy buy main dealer there crooks

      MrTangolizard I know exactly how Mercedes work bud. I used to own a CL500. They charged me bucketloads for services. My Active Body Control failed due to them not changing the hydraulic fluid in the suspension and it clogged up the pipes!! They asked for £5500 to put it right!! Luckily a friend of mine who used to work for Mercedes and has his own garage, inspected the suspension and found that the pipes had never been flushed, even though Mercedes charged for it on the invoice. I got in touch with a lawyer, who informed them that the suspension failed due to their negligence and they had to fix it free of charge. I sold the car after it was fixed. Mercedes are thieves that I will agree with you on👍

      Trust me, we (czechs) don’t really care about the looks, if it has a škoda badge, we’ll buy it no matter the cost and reliability (which definitely isn’t as good as it used to be with Felicias and Mk1 diesel Octavias). I know so many people who have had Škodas their entire lives, can’t say I have anything against it. Glad you are enjoying yout superb.

    I can really understand why VW sells so many cars, they tick the most checkmarks when it comes to what an average driver wants from his or hers vehicle. I would also like to have those small but sometimes very important practical everyday gadgets in my car because they make our lives easier no matter I look at cars from a totally different perspective. The thing that makes me sad is that because majority of people wants and buys only this kind of vehicles some other type of cars are dying, also those somewhat special cars are measured by benchmarks set by this Skoda, VW, Audi and other generic cars, also press people that looks at cars mostly as an average buyer then finds them "faulty", which does not help either.

    A lovey comfortable car, loads of room in the back seats but I was going to trade in my 2006 Saab 95 estate for a Superb and the boot in my old Saab holds much more stuff when you factor in space with the parcel shelf out. We have a large 3 wheel buggy and it wouldn't fit width ways in the Superb as it was quite a narrow boot and above the parcel shelf it's tiny. When you option a spare wheel the boot gets even smaller. My old Saab was fantastic and I couldn't find anything to replace it until I saw the new Opel Insignia estate. I literally took a tape measure to the Skoda and Opel boots and believe it or not there was more realistic space in the Opel than the Superb. The boot in the Opel was 3cm wider which may not sound much but we can fit the buggy width wise in the Opel but not the Superb, the space above the parcel shelf was a little more in the Opel and when there is a spare wheel in the Superb it's a much smaller boot. I don't know who figures out the litre system of boot space but I think they need to get a new system.

      Russ Cattell Fine. But now try to load your fabia with four huge holdalls two children and a large dog, hop onto a motorway and do 1500 miles. Will it be still soooo good? 🤔. No because you will need to fit a roof boot or tow a trailer for all that jazz. Fabia is a good car but not for the same purpose as superb estate. Greetings

      @@lukaszgierad6775 My Fabia is the combi & carries 3 dogs, us 2 + our luggage easy. If we needed more we would be into Octavia or Superb combi. We have done twice a 1k km run to the Rhine valley from the Atlantic coastal region on a 45l tank full each way.
      You are right, the Superb is a great family wagon. Is this where VW owners question the sticker price ? Audi owners won't because they are convinced they have shelled out on a vastly superior product despite the corporate commonality in the cars.
