the current price is very attractive, so is the yield. however, the yield is just a math. calculation to me. what stopped me buying AT&T is that the dividend growth and stock growth over the last decade was not overwhelming, now with their buypack programm dropped and having so much long-term debt I would be careful to invest into this stock. good point of you.
@@Flipstar1986 hi Flip. thanks. can you please explain how this affects the long term investors? what is exact purpose of company buying its own shares and how that will have an influence on stock price or dividends when they don't buy its own stocks? as far as i observed, att shares seem to be always in the range of 28-40 for past decade or so, I actually owned in the past and selling a year later but i was planning to buy again at this time.
@@blutao Share Companies who buy back shares, do it for 2 major motives: reduce the number of outstanding shares and for reduction of asset (cash). The second motive helps your EPS and your RoA / RoE. This means also the valuation of a company does get better when a company buys back stocks, but its also a dilution to be fairly honest. In this case, AT&T decided to stop buying back stocks in order to have sufficient cash to pay out the dividends. For you as an investor, this means that if you invest into AT&T, you will have a safe dividend, but the stock market gain due to the usually better (optical) valuation (due to stock buy backs) is maybe less optimistic. Hope this answer helps?

Thank you I took notes very helpful. I would like if you did a video explaining your taxes and how you pay them however I don't think it would do that well probably too technical and boring for most. also loved your video on the 7 stocks took notes on that one as well.

Can you teach us how you make that chart you mentioned at the end and you keep it update? Awesome videos too!! Been learning a lot from you.
Scary stuff man, could last for months and the stockmarket can go for worse. Bull trap still possible. Dangerous times. Especially since most cannot work. Stay safe everyone!

Connor Kelly just cause some stocks are going green and looking like a good deal, apparently those same stocks are going to drop even more. Might happen might not.
Yeah, I agree. I was laid off and probably out of work for 4 months... hoping the market dips more. Once I get the OK to go back to work... I'm investing heavily!

Hello Andrei, I love the way you show the real part of Stock investment but in a funny/friendly way. keep going and congratulations. i would like to ask you if the graphs you show with the % of income per sector and all data is a graph builded by you in an excel sheet or is a RobinHood automatic feature? thanks for sharing all information. helps a lot.

Hey Andrei, first thank you for sharing. I’m glad I found your channel. My question, the spreadsheet you mentioned near the end of video, is that something you created yourself or is there a template that I could use? Thanks.
Does anyone know how I can make a spreadsheet like the one he talks about at the end of the video? Has he made a video for it? Is there some sort of template or program?
I was wondering the same thing... I clicked on his portfolio link in description and that takes me to her Patron page. Looks like you have to subscribe to the $* / month plan to get the spreadsheet.
Idk if this is frowned upon. You only need to subscribe for one month and download the spreadsheet. I could also send it, but thats probably even worse.
I feel the REIT CTO is actually a better option than O. It is currently outperforming O in my own portfolio and Track Your Dividends gives it a far better Div score.
I’d like to hear you go into an analysis on Boeing, I feel like that would be an interesting topic to go in on considering it just stopped paying dividends.
What we like about (BA): Good company growth at 12.33%! Pretty good performance where return on invested capital has been over 10% most of the time. Good performance where interest coverage has been 6 or higher most of the time.
What we don't like about (BA): Selling price of $120.00 EXCEEDS intrinsic value of $-204.33. Negative earnings per share. UNKNOWN P/E Ratio. This could be a bargain if P/E ratio is under 15. Negative cash flow reported, so it appears that the company losing money at this time.
Recommended: NO. Stock is either overvalued (meaning you waited too long to buy) -- OR -- has too much debt at this time based on earnings.
Temper your enthusiasm during good times & become more optimistic when things look bad. A down market should cause you to celebrate. If you've done your budgeting correctly - you can buy stocks at attractive valuations and anticipate higher future returns.
"automagically" I'm going to steal that one from you.
Every time I try to look up the stock that you list, i have to pay higher than your average cost. You got some great deals! Thanks for the great advice!

How about though the huge debt of AT&T? AT&T has been taking massive debt in order to maintain their high yield dividend. Seeing their over 100% dividend payout ratio, would you think this is sustainable? Personally don't think so...

Hi Andrei! New watcher - found your videos 2 hours ago lol. @14:35 you talk about a spreadsheet. is this something you've talked about in other videos or is available to get for our own use?
I regret not buying stocks like 2 weeks ago when stock prices took a huge hit... is it still worth buying now do you reckon or should I wait?

It’s impossible to predict the bottom of the market if you’re looking for the long term, so I’d get started sooner than later.
Great content as always but do note studies show that almost all long term investors are significantly better off investing in market cap weighted whole world indexs over single stocks.
Awesome content as usual Andrei! If I could go back in time, I would also visit my grandparents more often- life is too short. I’d pick their brains ok their wisdom and knowledge about life more.
Once again, I really enjoy your intros and the overall substance you bring in your videos. You are hugely inspirational for my channel, and several other channels across this platform. Thank you!

While I'm a huge fan of stock picking, I’ve made a few rather modest investments in individual companies There are so many stocks going to rocket in the long run... right now it’s safe to invest in an ETF that tracks the S&P500 and ride it out. I put $190k into some growth stocks with a Financial advisor/broker handling my portfolio... some of my picks are, NVR, LISP.SW, SEB ,DOWJ, BRK-A, AAPL, NYSE, NASDAQ, TSLA, I've gotten 68% return so far this year , I'll keep holding to see where it goes
that's quite impressive, you surely made a good bit of money. I myself invested in warren's BRK-A stock quite pricy but totally worth it 😁

FYI: AT&T drops plan in stock buybacks.
the current price is very attractive, so is the yield. however, the yield is just a math. calculation to me. what stopped me buying AT&T is that the dividend growth and stock growth over the last decade was not overwhelming, now with their buypack programm dropped and having so much long-term debt I would be careful to invest into this stock. good point of you.
@@Flipstar1986 great explanation. i feel i am not investigation and financially educating myself enough now , but rely on historical prices, company size, market value, PE ratio and trust the analysts opinions too buy stocks and it has been a total failure for now, I am losing big on arlp and ford since investing in 2015. good chunk of saved money for a working guy like me, hurts a lot but I wish i knew better.
