MORE HARRY POTTER PLEASE! We tend to get impatient the longer we have to wait between reviews. 😊

My favorite things about Prisoner Of Azkaban:
    1. The Dementor attack on the Hogwarts Express. (Perfect dose of horror and suspense).
2.The song "Double Trouble". (Which is a nod to the witches from the Shakespearean play Macbeth)
    3. Hermione punching Malfoy right in his smug face.
    4. The introduction of Gary Oldman as Sirius Black and David Thewlis as Remus Lupin.
    5. Harry flying on Buckbeak's back over Hogwarts (SPECTACULAR scenery).
    6. Harry learning to use The Patronus Charm from Professor Lupin.
    7. Harry fully using The Patronus Charm to save Sirius and himself at the edge of the Black Lake.

My favorite part of the movie is when Harry gets on the fast bus. The shrunken rasta head! I love that. After this movie is when the series starts getting really dark and dramatic.

Haha, I totally get you! That bus scene is hilarious! Can't believe how quickly things get serious after that. What a ride!

Just a little tidbit into the Dursleys' mindset for you. You see Petunia was, of course, always jealous that Lily was a witch and she wasn't, so to keep herself from going crazy, she decided to gaslight herself into thinking that Lily was a freak and that being as normal as possible was the only way to live, therefore giving her a purpose in life. Now, Vernon Dursley first met Lily and James Potter at his and Petunia's wedding. Vernon thinks that how rich or poor you are determines how important or unimportant you are in society. So one of the first things Vernon asks James about is what kind of car he drives. Now, being a pureblood wizard with no concept of Muggle life, James just starts describing his racing broom, top of the line, of course. But, Vernon decided that James didn't have a job, was therefore a layabout that did nothing, and in his mind, was also a drunk, because in those days, if you didn't have a job, all you did was drink all day to pass the time and to dull the shame of being unemployed.
So, that's why Vernon's sister Marge, who Vernon tells everything to, also decided that James was a drunken layabout, as well. And, she has no problem speaking about her own (rather horrible and incorrect) thoughts at the dinner table in front of mixed company--her nephew, James Potter's son, who would take offense to his father's memory being insulted in such a way.

I missed Richard Harris too. I feel like he had a more commanding presence and his fits were on point!

If we overlook a few preposterous scenes (like Hermione catching Harry on her way to be unceremoniously catapulted into the tunnel by the Whomping Willow), this installment benefits from the best cinematography of the entire franchise. A shame Alfonso Cuarón didn't want to carry on directing for fear of being typecast into it. Btw I love how for each movie you display stills of shots other than the ones usually remembered. And who else notices Hermione's corduroys?

    • @PopcornReactions
      @PopcornReactions  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Right? Hermione's corduroys are the real MVP of the movie! 😂

There's one book for every schoolyear. Harry became eleven in the first movie, so he's 13 in this one.
I also missed Richard Harris. Gambon was good too, but they have quite different "vibes".
I'm looking forward to GOF. 😊
