I've watched so many videos that go through Voicemeeter Banana, this is by far the BEST explaination I've seen. Thanks so much for being so detailed and not click-baiting. Amazing tips.
I got a really specific problem that i can't figure out how to solve. I tried playing with all the latencies. I have bookshelf speakers on motherboard with 3.5mm aux. I have another 3.5mm on Center/Subwoofer channel that connect on an old CD amplifier and then goes on a 15 inch car subwoofer. With or without low pass filters on voicemeter there is a BIG delay between the speakers. When i had the same setup without Voicemeter but using EqualizerAPO i did not have any latency issues. Idk what to do besides buying an external USB sound card.
I have a fairly complex VM setup, so when I was done setting it up my audio was off slightly. @9:14 Changing the buffering from 512 to 256 for WDM and KS solved that problem for me. Thank you.
I just need some more help, I get low latency like 10ms on things like discord and voice recorder, but when it comes to fl studio etc, my latency is in the 60's, and all of my sample rates and bit rates are the same, and I dont know how to fix the problem.
Your video has helped me better understand Voicemeeter. I really appreciate your explanation of all the different processes going on in the application.
Thanks for your help! A question, WDM Input Exclusive Mode and Engine Mode are faded out in my Banana system settings. When I try to select it, I see this, "WDM Expert Options - These options are disabled. Engine Mode must stay NORMAL. WDM Input Exclusive mode must be disabled." Any tips on how to enable these?
Dont put your fader all the way red? So what you saying is.... dont touch the faders ever unless im lowering volume? Doesnt that sort of defeat the point of it allowing you the freedom to turn things that are too low higher? Why allow the function if its just detrimental right?? That doesnt make any sense.
I have a Bluetooth headset and there is a non stop slight delay. There is no issue when having it as the main input in my Pc but when running through A1,2 or 3, changing the settings and all tips in this video, the delay does not go away. Any help?
You helped me alot, thanks!! QUESTION: Logitech usb surround sound card is working on only MME but with a big latency unfortunately. Is there any solution about this?
try lowering buffer size. I use WDM with a high buffer size 1024 because I 'do not' monitor my voice live. I just quickly check if everything is working and then i uncheck A1 and A2 from my mic input.
@@tercanmirac im using a r5 3600x, theres a little latency, but still noticeable if pay close attention, so i think theres no soft/hardware fix for this little latency
I have Ifi Zen dac/amp which allows for 192K input but my microphone maxes out at 48K, is there a way to have different sample rates on different devices? I think I would want it at 192K for all voicemeeter virtual devices but 48K on mic. Also, does higher sample rate add more latency?
my specific issue is that because my game audio is a separate virtual input (so that i can make the game quieter on stream but louder for me) there is a latency issue, i am assuming because the game audio is no longer going straight to my headphones, it's going through vmb and then to my headphones. is it possible for me to bypass this somehow by making my game output audio duplicated? it's so frustrating because i play valorant and rely on sound heavily. the tiny lag is extremely noticable.
You have to change it in the audio-settings of Windows, just right click the speaker icon in the tray and go to Sounds, there you can choose your recording- and playbackdevices. Just doubleclick your device and go to the Advanced Tab, or as shown here: 3:10. If 16 bits doesn't show up it's not supported by the device or driver
How are you improving latency on your Voicemeeter Banana setup?

Glad it was helpful!
This was super helpful. It noticibly improved the lag situation.
Glad it helped. Cheers.

the 16bit 48k fixed it for me, thanks!

when i download the asio driver, i only get the output for A1, the asio input for my mic just doesnt come up. Any way to fix?

do you know how to turn on exculsive mode and egine mode? by any chance on voicemeeter im trying to lower the latency
How do I add a negative monitoring synchro delay? I need - 500ms but anytime i input that it gets put back to zero.
You can not play sound that hasn’t been rendered yet 😂
That was helpful, Thanks for the Guide
No problem!

Sorry to hear that, hope some can chime in.
i like how you included your ad, but its in the end of the video. (y)
I do what I can. :)
Hi. How did you make the engine mode button normal? I could not click mine coz it says this option is disabled.
Weird.
@@AndrewAlliance they disabled it, you have to enable it via Registry Editor now, can be found on last page of Voicemeeter Banana Manual.

did you fix if @mirac?
@@ZuRVlog kinda fix it with a better pc (i7 10700k etc) otherwise with MME and 7.1 surround there was a big latency.

Id check sounds settings, you may be able to do them individually there.
I've noticed that when I use voicemeeter, if I pause for a few seconds and start speaking again, part of my audio gets cut out as if my mic isn't on
Sorry to hear that.

I mean, you can adjust the windows audio on streamlabs to make it quieter on stream and keep it the same for you. Doesn't even need VB for that.
Whenever I choose WDM, my audio is always crackling. Is there a fix to this?
Sorry to hear that, hope someone chimes in.
Long story short, either route something else through either MME or KS, or increase your buffer size until the crackling stops.
How do I change 24 bits to 16 bits? I don't find anywhere the option to change and test it, it's all set as 24 bits in Voicemeeter Banana

i saw someone chime in.
I am getting horrid robitic and static on wdm device not sure why i tried resetting, updating drivers the works,.
Weird, sending prayers.
Guy obviously has no idea what he is doing.
If you didnt already notice.
