    Tip for brushed whoop pilots, you can use a 2 timer setup to keep track of brushed motor hours! Set up timer on a switch or throttle depending if ur motors spool up from switch or throttle

    That's really interesting, Lee! Thanks a lot! 😃
    BTW, talking about iNav, I just saw a video from Pawel Spychalski, which is an iNav developer, showing that he's working on conditional mixers. Something like this: if a switch is up some mixer works, if it's down it won't work. 😊

    I believe the value of Thr% is underestimated. I use it in all my electic motor models, in backwards counting mode, and never land with the battery under 20% remaining charge. It gives you an amazing peace of mind!!!

    Just a question : can you set the total timer with 2 hours for example (suppose you have flight before you set the timer) ?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure I understand the question. Do you want a persistent timer that you set for 2 hours before you start flying?

    • @patrickm9303
      @patrickm9303 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Painless360 no i have a plane that have flight 2 hours before i changed my transmitter. I want to start the persistent timer at 2 hours once, then After, each flight will add Time to the timer normally

    Hi, is there a way to have a Timer that is always running even after power cycles that I can use for the TX battery time and reset when I recharge the TX battery, something like a timer that measures the TX power time but that we can reset? I have this feature on my Futaba and I find it very useful and I would like to have it on my new X9D Plus as well.
    Thank you... Nice work!!!

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not aware of one as the timers are more model specific. If you find one way to do it, please let me know..

      Painless360 Hi.. found a way to check for the timer I need... well.. if you long press the ENT button and then choose the option “Statistics” you find a screen where you can see some infos including the “TOT” which is a counter that never stops while the radio is ON, you can reset it long pressing the ENT button. This option, as I mentioned, is very useful for me to keep track on the total radio power time per battery charge. Just reset it every time you recharge the battery.

      I like the OpenTX system - it's very powerful and can do pertty much anything. The downside is that complexity can be overwhelming for many new pilots so other radios (FlySky, Spektrum) offer radios that are simpler to setup. I do wish OpenTX would wake up to this and put some effort into making OpenTX 'new owner' friendly..

    Really nice video ..
    Can you please make a video on how to use the trim buttons on frsky xlite to work as switches? I really need more channels and I am not exactly sure how to make that work.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Please see my video on trims I’ve already done. I like your suggestion though so I will do another video specifically on that topic as I'm sure others would find interesting. Thanks for the suggestion, happy flying!

    The timers in Companion only say Countdown. How do I tell it to count up ie a flight time. Sorry, but I didn't see you tell how to do it.

      Set the timer as 0:00...

    Is it possible to make tempplates and load them, when creating a new model? Awsome video, I figured out the timers, but have only used 2 timers. This is a great idea. Thanks ♡

      I tend to have models that I use as a template with things like the throttle-cut and basic voice alerts all set then copy that into a new memory and edit. With things like quadcopters I use the same memory over and over again and just copy it, rename it and check the timers are right! :D

    Can you use crossfire with the frsky lite?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not easily and not at full CRSF speeds..

      @@Painless360 that's what I thought I would just go with my dx6 at that point. I am about to buy crossfire and frsky and someone was selling a lite for a good price.
