  • ‼️UCL Issues & Pitching Mechanics⬇️‼️
Objective: Struggling with some ulnar nerve tingling or even pain in the medial epicondyle?🤔 Take a listen to the video above!👆🏼
    ▫️The UCL consists of 3 Bundles⬇️
1.) The Anterior Oblique Ligament/Bundle (AOL)
2.) The Posterior Oblique Ligament/Bundle (POL)
3.) The Transverse Ligament which connects the AOL & POL✅
▫️Most athletes when they have elbow pain, will feel the forearm tightening and will only stretch the forearm or put pressure points on the pronator/supinators, which is only treating the system. Start knowing what causes the Valgus stress to be more significant than others within their mechanics and posture!
▫️The Medial Epicondyle is based on the humerus where it attaches to the ulna and that creates this medial epicondyle cross section‼️ the HUMERUS acts on the shoulder specially the ball and socket of the glenohumeral head. The medial epicondyle is dictated in space based on how the shoulder is positioned statically
▫️If we find ourselves in too much of a internally rotated static position of the humerus it’ll place more rotational demand of torque on the medial epicondyle, which is also another reason why we will exceed tons of valgus stress causing golfers elbow❌ The medial epicondyle is dictated in space based on how the shoulder is positioned statically ‼️
▫️If we can also work on helping athletes find their path of least resistance, offset stress at our end ranges and create both a neurological/ physiological adaptation response to help reduce stress in areas that are most vulnerable with the overhead throw then read below!⬇️
