ATHOS has no chance. ATAGS contract negotiations started with Bharat forge and Tata. For ultra light weight we have M777, For tracked gun we have 100 Vajra and another 100 is in the making. For mounted towed gun, Bharat forge has a product. We need to bridge the weight gap between ATAGS and M777. Dhanush fits here. But it is not modern. So DRDO will give the blue print of Dhanush obtained from Bofors order to Bharat forge and Tata and get light weight guns. Changes of import is very low to nothing.
