Swenson full lyric coloratura voice is wondrous in lyric soprano repertory. Her Pamina is incredibly beautiful. Regrettably, her voice was cast in the demanding coloratura roles which was her fach. That said her lyric soprano work though rare is in pirate recordings such as this.

Un des grands triomphes de Ruth Ann ce soir-là à l'Opéra Bastille. La salle était subjuguée et les applaudissements qu'elle reçut furent les plus sincères d'un public envoûté!

I've seen her live and its not off the support trust. She also had cancer too.
