I remember when I was growing up, guys like Kasey Kahne and Tyler Walker were thought of as the next big deals. Much different roads traveled by both of them, but still such huge cases of "What if?..."
My only thought with Kasey is grind out one more year with teams dropping off and have real shot at a Charter for the future. Then he might step away all together and put a young driver in the #9. Prutzman might work most of the races but not all of them.
Its hard to say if not there, but I think something probably happened that led Kasey to feel that he should race another year full time. He probably wanted to run select races that he thought he had a shot to win. He keeps the better crew chief, because he's tired of bad seasons.
I think this move is completely driven by the Charter system HL has. Sweet and the 49 are locked in with one and as stated the loss of the other teams could open the door for a second Charter. The crew chief change gives Kahne the best chances of improving enough to get up in the combined points.
@brentbaldwin7069 , 3 of the cars that finished ahead of him are already likely out. That means realistically a gain of 1 position is all that's required. That's also assuming that Marks stays with the series.
Maybe Kane's crew chief will be there as a safety net in case Sweet's new crew chief can't handle the job. If he can handle the job then Kane's chief might drop off the tour as originally planned?
Could the race fans get the stats on Mike Curbs Philanthropy business, where's the money come from? Where's it go? Does anyone in racing ever think Kasey Kahne was strait? Curb records sure seems to have there hands in the racing world for quite some time now...... no big deal long as they bring the money in right?
@ Kahne never publicly announced anything until now. It was Jeremy Elliott’s conjecture that people ran with. He took the Prutzman story which was about Wolfgang, and spun it into news about Kahne
I think with the HL defections Kasey sees a path to getting a charter and setting the 9 up for a new driver when Kasey decides to retire. Plus I think Kasey wants his presence at the track for marketing given the new shock rule.
HL was a nice little experiment. The CART version of sprint cars. Two of my favorite drivers end up splitting sprint car racing in half right when things were getting good. I won’t be able to forgive them for that. I want outlaws back at Skagit.
Stop being dramatic. Sprint car racing is strong as ever. If you want to blame anyone blame outlaws management for not doing the things drivers and owners needed.
@@robertphillips1772, Stagnant schedules is "getting good"? The Outlaws got way too comfortable with being the only thing going and ultimately made Sprint Car racing #2 on dirt in this country. A change was long overdue.
@@stevenanninga9033i would suggest you look alot closer as cleary at the national touring level doing what the drivers and teams wanted hasn't exactly set the world on fire for High Limit given the number of teams that won't be returning in 2025 as being fully committed. Given Sweet is a KKR driver and Kasey Kahne committed to High Limit as a car owner in the first instance, it's pretty easy to figure out the reasons for Kahne and the #9 to do a 360 and return to the High Limit series as a fully committed team in 2025. Do you honestly think if High Limit had 15 fully committed teams in 2025 including a few flipping from the Outlaws that Kasey Kahne would have changed his and the #9 teams plans to not tour and travel as much by a pick and chose schedule. The issue is at the national touring level this split has increased costs but reduced the financial funding available to the 2nd tier teams in both series that will stop growth and car counts. The top teams in both series will be ok but as you can clearly witness, the secound tier teams are the ones either dropping off or the car owners are still in the process of trying to secure the required financial funding with car owners having to go down the path of finding a driver who can bring financial funding with them. In relation to the High Limit series. The golden ticket of a charter hasn't changed anything and the charter system was the major selling point for teams to commit to High Limit. Good on you Justin! You deserve a bit of a break. I’m just glad that you’re keeping us in new content! Thank you!
I appreciate everything you do Justin, big fan & please keep the great work up… Thank you & Merry Christmas my guy

HL is a great tour and I am going to follow them as much as possible this year. Merry Christmas all and a happy New Year.
Merry Christmas Justin and family
Thank you for everything you do to keep us informed. Merry Christmas to you and your family
In sure wish HL had more full timers. I am a huge fan.
So your a huge larson fan
Corrupt limit sucks more than your boyfriend
@@Norwisco,
Larson is easily the most popular guy in Sprint Car racing so he definitely wouldn't be the only one.
@Norwisco huh? Larson is not a full timer
@@Norwiscothe regular high limit racing is more exciting to watch than the outlaws, field is way deeper.
I figure it’s to get the numbers up for the full timers. Also if he’s running all of the races that will put Eric there to help Brad if they need it.

Has either series announced a point fund/tow money/ benefit package yet? I feel that is usually something that happens around PRI.
I think it's awesome, and smart thinking if they're trying to get that car a charter
Simple, Kahne wants to win!

Even with Prutzman, you're asking him to make a very unlikely jump. He would have to consistently be Top 10 and I don't see it.

Big fan of RTJ… but there is absolutely zero chance he locks into the Chili Bowl main on his prelim night.
I doubt he makes it out of the B…
I am a big RTJ fan but he's going to have a tough time with all the midget talents there.

NBA ratings are down and they allow gambling almost everywhere. If your product is shit the people wont come to watch.
It costs too much. Too many ads on tv. U tube is getting bad too.
What about Danny Sam’s have you Hurd anything on him ?
Charters go to owners.. if i am not mistaken.. so Kahn already ownes one... can they own more then one??
yeah the two car team can have more......#49 and #9 which is the original KKR car anyway
@RacerRobertC. Kahn owns the 49... tho
The odds of getting a charter must've increased. With the 9p and 1a out, that puts him 12th in points. Guessing others have dropped off tour
Stoked for the interviews

The corrupt limit sprintcar series
