I am a Catholic who served in the military and did tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. I wasn’t practicing my Catholicism at the time I was in the military. I reverted 15 years after leaving the military, but I will say, one of the first things I repented of in confession was participating in those wars that I knew to be unjust, even while I was there in theater.
