Melodically beautiful, brilliant compositions, beautifully prog and do I even need to say anything about his technique and nuances in playing.. Way ahead of its time for 1995. What a legend.

Mike is committed to making every note clean, hearing someone so mastered on guitar makes me realize how even tho I'm lost and out of key I AM somewhere and I shall be standing all the way down on the string so its singing out, he dosn't half ass making the tone braver than normal.

I as well, I've also scoured the web trying to find out what the body shape of that purple guitar is called with no luck, its driving me crazy.
@@johanjotun1647 Well all I know is that it's a custom made guitar made by Washburn fot Batio. It seems that he only used it on this album. Maybe that's why the tone is sooo amazing on the record.

joe who? mab can actually really play.
I love Satriani’s songwriting but his skill is vastly overrated. Batio is the exact opposite, accurately rated technique but vastly underrated compositional skill.
