    I have a pair of cheap jeans not long for this world (they are ripping in a really awkward place..) and I think I want to try this out to have some fun with them before they have to go! 🙌 ✨ Thank you so much for the inspo!

    Wow, those red jeans turned out really cool, I might have to try that. I bleach dyed a pair of pink jeans before but I guess the kind of synthetic dye they used had really bonded to the fabric because when I tried to bleach it it didn't work and the denim kind of fell apart from over bleaching. You live and you learn I guess.

    You should do regular tie dye on the sweatshirt! I saw someone do tie dye on grey fabric on tiktok and it looked amazing!

    A few years back I used a brush and diluted bleach to paint designs on black cotton leggings and t-shirts. Did swords on the back of the leggings, and a giant dragon on the shirt. It was really fucking cool but after a year or so the bleach continued to eat holes in the fabric. I wonder if doing a neutralizing rinse with vinegar might help prevent that 🤔

    eckhaus latta is so good ugh!! i also wanted to recreate this particular piece but with paint and stuff esp bc of how imperfect the original is. less pressure on me, an inexperienced artist haha

    Hello Sera! I need help with something. I just got a LOT of hand me down sweaters that fit big under the armpits. They are like the knitted type of sweaters that look cool when they are super oversized, but these are not too big on me to give that look. I want to make something with them that would look flattering. I don't know how to fix them. My sister suggested opening the back and adding buttons? Idk. Also, I got a Lot of turtle necks (stretchy Jersey material) but I don't know if you have any cool ideas on how to reinvent the simple turtle neck or even how to style them. Most of them are bicolor horizontal stripes and some are solid color. If you can help me please. Thank you!

    My mom bleached a pair of Levi’s bellbottoms. They were a bright beautiful blue. She did such a good job. And she painted silver down the center of the white and then on the edges of blue. They were so cool. She angled them so it would go triangular at my bottom. Everyone wanted them. That was in the 90s. I believe it was 94.
    I donated them to one of my girlfriends daughters. She was such a hippie. I gave them to her as a Christmas present. I had to repaint a little bit of the pinstriping. But they were gorgeous. I took really good care of my clothes. I have everything.
    I’m so glad I kept my clothes. Especially my expensive pieces. Just because I grew out of them. In certain a certain time 🤰🏻of my life . Why get rid of clothes because you gain a little weight. Don’t, save them.
    Especially if their timeless pieces. And trust me everything comes back into fashion. It’s so hilarious. People get rid of their clothes to get the new hip fashion but then the next 10 years down the road those clothes are back in fashion.
    Inexpensive things I can understand. The pieces that you spend artistic time on and or take care of them they are a lot more expensive save them. They make precious gifts. And/or, they will be right back in fashion the next 10 years. It’s hilarious fashion repeats itself. They have to.

    Can anyone help me? I have a blouse that's meant to be loose and flowy but I got it too large so I want to bring it in at the waist but I'm not sure how without ruining the flowy feel of it? Should I sew the sides in or do darts or something else?

    • @littlepinkbullets
      @littlepinkbullets 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depending on how it is structured, I would sew up the back (in effect creating a back seem) and take in any excess fabric - if that still leaves the front too much you could take it in a bit at the sides, just make sure to pin everything first so you can see how it’ll look withh the sleeves etc

    • @m0rethanahandful
      @m0rethanahandful 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the idea above is great or if you’d like you could always sew elastic all around the waist so it’s still stretchy/ keeps the flowyness

    • @erikawithuhk
      @erikawithuhk 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@littlepinkbullets thank you so much for responding! I think I'll try the sides then because there's a detail in the back that I really like, it's slit on the top with a button on the collar. Again thank you so much!

    So sad the doggy sweater didn't bleach! It also would've looked awesome with just the sleeves dipped in bleach. Anyways, loved the other pieces 🧡

    The sweatshirt didn't bleach because it is "heathered" grey.... Something about the yarn...... Never works on heathered colored shirts.
