im gonna be honest, i dont even get legendary vibes from these guys, they feel more like mythicals to me. i always find myself thinking "man i sure wish they made more legendaries besides the 2 paradox lizards"
They're weird, that's for sure. But as a teacher I can't help but be happy about how much importance they have given to education in the Spanish game! From a giant Academy, a professor with enormous research and some legendary who teach part of the history of the region, I just love it!

Yeah its cool but as a history buff i hate how little the game tells about their actual history in the game Its like if you told the entire napoleon saga as "in the past there was a short angry little man that did bad things" and thats it
That’s wild, I thought initially some form of Silk Road connection but nothing to that level of detail. It’s nice to know that gamefreak really really dives deep into making these Pokémon, and it’s not just a simple design based on a surface level overview of the regions inspiration. I think gimmeghoul definitely does come from the Spanish being remarkably known for treasure hunting, and thus folding that into the golden execution makes complete sense.
Interestingly enouth, we can lern even more about them by where they are sealed... or to be more accurate: whare ONE of them is sealed. Chi-Yu's prison is rather out-of-place compaired to it's brethren, as it is hidden away within a half-submerged cave behind a waterfall at the top of a mountain where as the other's are rather out in the open. This could imply that out of all of them, the tiny goldfish was the one that was feared the most and was placed in a location that had a sort of second line of defence incase it ever broke free!

My brother in Christ your content slaps in the most excellent of ways. I feel like you’ve got a natural knack for this stuff and you’re gonna go far on here so keep it up and keep consistent, in that way you will have one of the best careers one can have.
I generally don't like Pokemon with negative, appearently evil backgrounds, and i like legendaries as positive entities; however these four are good idea, plus they can possiy calm; they were created with destruction intentions, and their origins show how there is nothing easy behind people badness; plus they are so well designed, i like especially Wo-Chien, also Ting-Lu, and Chi-Yu has elegance, while Chien-Pao is OK but seems me the least elaborated.
Well other than their silk road inspiration the Legendaries are the exact opposite of the Tapus from Alola. And fun fact these four legendaries are in fact the only ones that have no respect for the player or anyone approaching them. Even Giratina has respect for anyone challenging it. Also I blame Volo for this disaster.
volo only wanted to create a new world, but i doubt he ever touched these artifacts, also by the time he was born, they may have even already been sealed
I am dying to know if someday sooner than later once I really get my channel started, if i could send you two Pokemon i designed. And possibly present them in your videos. I mean, Chi-Yu lore wise can easily overpower the other 3 as it has abilities and features that counter all of them. So makes sense.
