I was absolutely thrilled when she performed this one in Portland last week. I remember thinking to myself when I got there, 'well I know I am going to cry at some point, but hopefully, it'll be towards the end of the show.'
But sure enough, this was the second poem she performed. And as soon as she said, "You have to understand when it hurt to love her,,," I just burst into tears. It was so good.
And I met her after the show and I was so starstruck and so moved

This is truely amazing, i think its something all of us can relate to especially in relation to love - the good and the tragic. Sometimes its something you attempt to make a figment of a memory/ past but this, it makes everything flood back...

I was hoping Andrea would do this one at the show last Wednesday. Andrea didn't do Prism, but did read a new one called "Why Breaking Up Fucking Sucks", and that was when I got sad because in this poem, it's kind of speculative, but in that one...it was obvious. Andrea absolutely deserves so much love, and my heart is full of happy wishes for Andrea's future.
