It took me two years to consider myself a poet. And I always thought I was weird. And my teachers said I was too stupid to grasp the concept of meter and rhyme. You gave me the confidence for my first reading. You made me find what was good in myself. Thank you
Beautiful. Thank you for letting us be a part of your life, Andrea!
Wow. I am more amazed by this poem every time I hear it. Brought tears to my eyes.
Every time I listen to her poems, I can't help but cry.
This poem...always right in the feels.
I wasn't expecting this.. it just hit me and now I'm crying. Such beautiful words...
Never gets old.
I couldn't help but cry, "sneak into her room to guard her heartbeat"
I was at that show 2 hours from her home town she mentions. She is absolutely amazing!
Beautiful slivers of yourself that I just discovered in this world. Thank you for living your heart's song
you are an inspiration and i actually felt somthing in my heart this spoke to me. THANK YOU BEAUTIFUL SOUL!!!!!
I hear you Andrea. And I just got my first feeling from a poem. Thank you so much for that.
Beautiful.
I love this so much!
In the past years I have watched all of Andrea's Poems, and I believe it's safe to say that I love her. Straight girl or not, I love this woman.
"The heartbeat thieves didn't find her, for 15 years."
This line hits me so fucking hard.
Brilliant. Just brilliant.
this made me cry

I think I just fell in love.
Wow.....can a poem be gorgeous??? If so.....a rose is no comparison!
I am in love with this woman..and I'm straight.

I think this mau be her best one. It isn't necessarily my personal favorite, but objectively speaking, I think it wins.

@CleverDjembe Haha yeah I don't think that I will ever be a spoken word poet, but a few of these on youtube are great in my opinion :D (this one is too obviously :P)
@loves2sing13 me too :')
for 15 years D':
I think the line might be because its been 15 years...

Truthful answer: I was lead to this video because of my curiosity. Spoken word is a new thing for me, and it seems strange. But maybe I'll learn to like it, who knows.
she's like the female version of Phil Kaye... but still.. beautiful..
"I said yes so loud that god couldnt disagree...but my family did so i lost them for a while." :'(
I'd like to hear this without the music. This is the first of the Poetry Month playlist I've enjoyed.
Very nice, but I kind of wished it didn't have the music.
wow
