Ban'ei racing is a unique form of weight pulling/horse pull races. As far as I'm aware every country that has draft horses has these races and they are pretty common at fairs here in the US. Weight pull contests are also done with tractors, mules, donkeys, and dogs. But some local fairs don't add the racing aspect. Either way Ban'ei is a wonderful sport and it's cool to see how other people put their own spin on a traditional idea of being able to tell which draft animal (or machinery) is the strongest for evaluating for purchase and/or breeding programs! I definitely am intrigued by seeing the Ban'ei race tracks include inclines and steep declines!
I ride a Camargue horse for my lessons! She’s very nice, and she has much more personality than some of the other horses there. She really has to stop spinning around during class though.
Those 'Rap Trail Horses', need way more than grain and hay...they need raw carrots! Carrots are loaded with Beta Carotine that turns to Vit.A in the liver, as well as lots of Vit.C, and other Vitamins and minerals! Carrots when bought in 5 Lb. bunches are super affordable..get them with the above ground stems! Equals long lived, gorgeous coats, bright eyes, super endurance!( Have fun, and love those horses well.)
Lens flare. The water btw is this brown becasue the seas around Belgium and Netherlands are very shallow, extreme daily tides that mixes the ground with the water . The water doesn't have time to clear up, so to say. It's great for wildlife, but not so nice (and dangerous) to swim in :(
You should never ride on the rode with a horse with shoes AND when it rains. Most of the horses can slip and hurt riders and themself. I don’t understand half of these people for this.
Horse racing is NOT for the love of horses. Other horse based competitions do NOT have the level of deaths and injuries that racing does. Support other horse related sports that dont contribute to horse deaths. The work horse racing at the beginning did not seem anywhere near as bad as traditional racing for the horse, imo. Yes, there are good jockeys and horse owners, but overall the sport is far too dangerous and has far too many fatalities.
Do you even know what eventing is? Or how a horse could kill u at any moment even if u think your in control you never are horses get tired too especially in eventing and then rotational falls happen

THANK You for giving us horse stories....but PLEASE consider changing the point of view to be more equine empathetic - think about maybe now do a horse story about the movement towards bitless bridles/the natural horsemanship movement/the Extreme Mustang Makeovers/ adaptive horsemanship.... etc. (and stay away from: Another racehorse story(we have enough of them already) and stop featuring stories where riders are ripping their horse’s face off (yeah they probably don’t know any better, but OMG theres a MUCH better way to control your horse’s speed/direction/attitude....)
Just a little FYI, outside of the U.S. horse racing is a much safer sport for the animals. They generally have a much better sense of animal husbandry, and the injury rates are significantly lower.
