It's known as the three step glitch. You can only tell that Pokemon are closer or further by their position on the list from closest at top left and further at bottom right.
Also I think it's my device but the Pokemon 3D models have the images glitched so some body parts look purple such as pidgey looking normal then the eyes being purple idk if there is anything I could do to fix this

You're not supposed to transfer pokemon based on cp, you're supposed to transfer based on move powers. you can change a pokemon's CP, but you can't change its moves.
