Let the record show that this is only the 4th corset I’ve ever made and I’m also kind of an amateur when it comes to sewing so… pro’s, don’t judge me too harshly. Also, every toxic perfectionist unhealthy type 5 molecule in my body was begging me to delete this video and redo it but I persevered. I hope you are proud of me. x also sorry the focus is off in some shots...... could have fixed that if i redid the entire video......
i’m sure your desire for perfection is a reflection of your personal standards & not your desire to meet the standards of others- but if it means anything, i think this video is so lovely & i am going to enjoy it for many moons to come!! 🖤
I know your a perfectionist but if it helps, to the viewers your videos are some of the last channels that put so much love and work into the quality of your videos, even if you think the video isn't up to your standards, to us its the most aesthetically pleasing video. Every scene in your videos are picturesque. I hope that helps, your videos mean so much to me
I'm so happy you kept it up! I feel that most (sewing) tutorials are too overstimulating and difficult to follow but this made me actually want to sew my own piece
I can't believe you made the single most stressful part of my time doing costuming for community theatre look relaxing. Impressive! I just wish you showed more of the embroidery, I could watch you embroider for hours.
I studied fashion and learned how to hand stitch at the opera in the costume department … this video was really inspiring and your corset is beautiful! A lot of the students for fashion wouldn’t be able to do that after graduation 😅 I always thought that it’s very important to also be able to make a garment by hand yourself instead of just giving it to a seamstress because you learn so much about fits and materials this way.
It is actually scary how do-able you made this look. So do-able that I'm actually tempted to hit up my local fabric and home goods stores. I wish I had seen this when it first released because tomorrow would have been the perfect occasion for me to wear this.
How are you able to make home made clothes look so perfect and designer made (as in they belong in a rustic or vintage boutique)??? Gurl get in that industry already 🙌🙌🙌🙌
I absolutely want to thank you for your video! I'm a new subscriber now because of the awesome way that you show how to make these. Even with the no sewing machine way. Your camera is on point to follow, and instructions are on point too the way you describe and demonstrate. I'm looking forward to making this just because of your video. I've been trying to watch and learn, but I was finding it difficult until your video. Thank you!
I've always liked your talent. Talent and interest in many things. This corset is absolutely amazing. As well as the decor on the background of the video, musical accompaniment. And even a little pumpkin at the end. Thank you for your work.
Not only is your corset beautifully done, but your video was amazing!!! I've been sewing for 60 years and you impressed me with your talent, job well done!
I learned more about sewing in this video than years of my mom trying to teach me! This was such a delight to watch.. miss your videos so much! You always amaze me.
This is by far the best tutorial I've watched. I fell in love with your jester costume, and I'm determined to make a similar one for next year's Ren Faire. I'm so excited!!
I first watched this months ago and remembered enjoying it and loving your corset so much that I came back to find it now that I'm in need of a corset. I think yours is perfect and am not 100% sure how you got there from the original pattern, but hopefully I can figure it out without too much frustration? ( I have no hope this will happen) Seriously, my only wish in this is that you'd shown us a little bit more of the alterations you made to the pattern instead of just listing them off like they were nothing. I'm sure they took some thinking and math. Excellent and inspiring job. Thank you for this.
You are such a good teacher! Im so inspired to do this. I have been crocheting for about a year, embrodering and cross stitching for about 5 and I just recently decided to learn how to sew. I got a machine and to be honest, am a little overwhelmed and I have never thought to just hand stitch to begin! this is so cute and I would love to see you create more things in the future!
i clicked on this thinking i want to make a corset, but after watching the video, i don't think i have the focus and patience needed, so i'll just admire from afar. your work is so mesmerizing, i love it!
i am SHOOK that you hand stitched that entire thing. I've been a seamstress for years and i love sewing, but i could never find the patience for that. well done this is amazing
I saw a girl that makes corset out of concert tees and I wanted to get one done for Beyoncé Renaissance tour but the tickets came out a little too expensive so I’m gonna try and make the corset myself using your video. Thank you!!
All you're videos carry so much enchantment within them! I was feeling a bit melancholy today honestly, but seeing your videos always inspire me. Thank you ^^
You're so talented kenna, you could make anything beautiful! I also love to watch your videos for the aesthetics, the way you edit and the music played it's always perfect for the theme.
I loved every second of this and your voice is so calming. I’ve been really stressed due to midterms so this helped. Also, I absolutely 100% NEED that blouse from the first clip. So pretty 🥹
Your corset is absolutely beautiful, the color and embroideries and the fact that you handsewn it ?? And the seams look pretty clean ! You kinda make me want to try handsewing. On small pieces I can imagine sewing outside or in the train like knitting. Because crafting outdoor in the sun is just the best thing !
I finished my corset a few weeks ago, my sewing machine broke early on in the process but I saw your post on instagram and I finished it by hand. It wasn’t so difficult as it was tedious. Sewing the bias tape was the worst part especially around the curves edges, the professionals make it look so easy. I want to make a skirt next to go with the corset.
Wow this is absolutely stunning! The corset looks gorgeous and you are so talented and insanely patient. The video was so calming and aesthetically pleasing. Just amazing
Just a heads up, if you were trying to link to the exact pattern it just link to Etsy. 😊 (Personally I'd love to know which you used!) It turned out gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your journey with us!
I'm handsewing a leather corset (about the thickness of the suede you use in this video) and I'm so impressed with your finger strength. I can't believe no costubers have been here to call you out for not using your thimble. :D
What a absolutely delightful video. Your editing is great, same for the music and how carefully you explain the steps you take. I'm currently sewing this, one for myself and one for my partner, nd I cannot wait too see how it turns out. Great work!
I just wanted to say that this is fantastic. I adore these kind of tutorials and love how thorough you are. I don't have much money to play around with and am also a perfectionist and live in small town Saskatchewan (Canada) so there is no one to ask for expertise. I feel like the details you add are so important. I wish i had the motivation to accomplish what you do. Will definitely check out more of your videos
You did a great job! I've sewn for years but never made a corset, and you've inspired me to try! One tip, offered non-judgementally, is to use a different pair of scissors to cut your plastic/zip ties than your nice sewing scissors - the sewing scissors often get dull if we use them for anything other than fabric :)
Stunning. I'm a pro sewist, and I think you did an amazing job, the fit is great, the stitches are beautiful, be proud!! There is a magic to sewing a garment by hand, makes it even more special!
Wow this makes me actually want to try making a corset. I was always afraid of boning because it seemed complicated but the step by step instructions make it more approachable.
Lovely! I love finding someone who hand sews! I would like to add, when wronging out the cables to smooth them down, you can take sand paper to smooth them well. I’ve used cable ties for handmade bras because I find the wire ones in stores always tend to pop out of the fabric after some time. ❤️ I love your work, very beautiful!
Every thing about this and all your contents is so amazing. Every detail is perfect and beautiful and cozy and calming and I could go on and on. I appreciate you so much because one of the things your amazing at is the attention to detail and how much effort and energy you put in. It’s inspiring and it makes me feel like you care about our experience and viewers too. Idk I could be reading in hella deep to this but 😂 just wanna say I love you and your content!
It was so peaceful for me to watch this video, thank you for showing how to do it, although it's not likely that i try, i have never tried anything with sowing
This was so incredibly soothing, I love your DIY videos. All the little imperfections that you seem to see yourself are like little beauty marks. The end result is wonderful and now I feel like my brain has slowed down enough to enjoy the beautiful autumnal day during my exams period.
This is incredible!! 😍 Everything you do is always so aesthetically pleasing! 🤎🍂 I would love to see more sewing videos like how you made the blouse you are wearing.
I don't know if it's something you've ever considered or would even feel comfortable doing, but I think you would make a really good cozy streamer. It could be crafting or gaming. But, honestly, I enjoy watching any content you create.
watching someone who can sew, and make their own clothes often.... it makes me appreciate clothes so much more. every piece of item, so preciously made. that's why i don't like fast fashion. (of course also sweatshops) .. because it takes aspect away. clothes quickly and easily made to use once and throw away. no quality. no originality. jeans made in the 70's 80's 90's... that's why they still last today. very well made. today's jeans are just trash in comparison. One day i shall get my own sewing machine and make things if i can. it is such a good skill. admire people so much who can do it💜
SHE UPLOADS AGAIN!! Hail to the youtube gods. I've really enjoyed seeing the process of making this video on instagram, and Im so excited to see more from you in the future back here on youtube 🤎🤎🤎
omg I totally love that you don't use the machine and you do it by hand. just like in the old times when there was no such technology. I also sew by hand and dream about a corset and your film helped me a lot. 🖤
update: I finally did it! I was able to draw the pattern based on my measurements. first I sewed the lining and the main part of the fabric. Later, the corset was lying around waiting because I didn't have the rest of the materials, but I finally managed to buy bones and tools for metal holes on Aliexpress. Thanks to this, I have my own handmade corset and it looks professional. Thanks to this video, I decided to sew it by hand and it really turned out to be very simple.
This is amazing. I’m truly impressed by your creative outlets and your patience to explain them. This corset is beautiful and your embroidery is precious. It all came together so well 👏🏼.
Such a beautiful video! I think you did a wonderful job on this, and you made something that can be stressful at times, look so relaxing. Thank you for sharing this!
Wow the idea of using plastic binders as boning is actually pretty cool!! I'm gonna use it as my shops don't have any whalebone, thank you for this video 🧡
I'm so glad to see you posting again!! As a designer & seamstress this was very pleasant to watch - the video was very soothing and your technique was quite good! Can't wait to (hopefully) see more content!!
This isnt really a corset, but actually a pair of Stays. The tabless 17th century-ish styled ones. Yours are very pretty and made with love ❤️ She definitely made the best choice of handstitching them, because, to be honest machine-stitched ones dont even compare. Ive made 4 by hand and then one with a machine and did not hold up to daily wear like the handstitched ones. 😞
I loved that video! I'm just discovering your channel with it, and I find it's so cute, relaxing and helpful! I'm in the process of creating my own corsets and, even if I'm doing them with a machine, your video is so helpful! Thank you! 💕🌼
I'm glad you posted, it looks like a lovely video, and a successful project. I can accept for a "toxic level perfectionist", maybe nothing is ever more than "barely tolerably adequate" (my own words, but, guessing what someone might think if they looked at art projects that way). I like watching people figure out sewing challenges while I do my own sewing, and watching folks make stuff. I do like yo see end results, too, and, the lovely fabric choices.
This is such a beautiful peaceful video. Your commentary is very calming, and nice because its all the same volume level. I love your background music and sounds. Also, your corset turned out lovely and I love your hair! Believe in yourself darling!
Let the record show that this is only the 4th corset I’ve ever made and I’m also kind of an amateur when it comes to sewing so… pro’s, don’t judge me too harshly. This was a great video, also your voice is so calming

Thank you for uploading!
THIS LITERALLY UPLOADED AT THE EXACT MOMENT I WAS THINKING ABOUT SEWING A CORSET FOR MY COSTUME
How are you able to make home made clothes look so perfect and designer made (as in they belong in a rustic or vintage boutique)??? Gurl get in that industry already 🙌🙌🙌🙌

This is astonishing that your video is so calm, yet when I sew, it is the most rage filled activity on earth for me lol
oh gosh this is so lovely, how do you manage to imbue magic into everything you create. also hair bows look so good on you!
Kenna!!! You're back!! So glad you didn't delete the video, it's lovely and the corset is amazing work ✨
I've always liked your talent. Talent and interest in many things. This corset is absolutely amazing. As well as the decor on the background of the video, musical accompaniment. And even a little pumpkin at the end. Thank you for your work.
I DID MY WAITING TWELVE YEARS OF IT, IN AZKABAN!!!!!!
Not only is your corset beautifully done, but your video was amazing!!! I've been sewing for 60 years and you impressed me with your talent, job well done!
Beautiful! The fact that THIS lovely piece is "only" your fourth corset only serves to inspire complete newbies, like myself, even more. Many thanks!❤
I learned more about sewing in this video than years of my mom trying to teach me! This was such a delight to watch.. miss your videos so much! You always amaze me.
SHES BACK HELL YEAH

All you're videos carry so much enchantment within them! I was feeling a bit melancholy today honestly, but seeing your videos always inspire me. Thank you ^^
This is beautiful, thank you so much for posting this 🍂🪡
i just love the over the garden and wall reference
It’s funny because 5 min ago I was writing my BA thesis about OTGW in a dining room from my childhood somewhere in a small town in Germany
You're so talented kenna, you could make anything beautiful! I also love to watch your videos for the aesthetics, the way you edit and the music played it's always perfect for the theme.
Omg where have you been hiding all of my life!!! I'm hooked literally just first time and I'm fully invested
finally a new video! i’ve missed your content so much!
YOU'RE BACK!!
I missed you so much

Just a heads up, if you were trying to link to the exact pattern it just link to Etsy. 😊 (Personally I'd love to know which you used!) It turned out gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your journey with us!
This was genuinely so fascinating
Using clips instead of pins is brilliant! No more poking and sliding!
I was literally just looking up videos on corsets-thanks boo! 🍂🤎
Keep rewatching this video as I recover after operation. It is relaxing and distracts my mind. Thank you ❤️
I'm handsewing a leather corset (about the thickness of the suede you use in this video) and I'm so impressed with your finger strength. I can't believe no costubers have been here to call you out for not using your thimble. :D

omg can't believe you're still on youtube.... had a random memory of you from like 2014 and curiously searched your name... queen icon
The results literally gave me vibes of fairytale....
It seems so hard though, I appreciate your hard work tbh :))

Recently been incredibly Intrigued by handmade items. This is lovely.
I will try this for myself ♥️
She’s BACK😢🥰😘😘😘😘♥️😘♥️😘♥️♥️♥️

I would immediately buy one of these from you if you began selling them. This is beautiful
This was so relaxing. You always know how to explain things so simply and add just a touch of magic to your videos ✨🍂

The boning the hack is genius!! Ty for sharing 💓
Wow..just wow! You’re a true artist.
By the way that’s a Stay not a corset. Still a beautiful finish project nonetheless
Such a beautiful video! I think you did a wonderful job on this, and you made something that can be stressful at times, look so relaxing. Thank you for sharing this!
This was some great work and she looks gorgeous. ❤
Wow the idea of using plastic binders as boning is actually pretty cool!! I'm gonna use it as my shops don't have any whalebone, thank you for this video 🧡
Wow the amount of work. It’s incredible!!! Good job
I'm so glad to see you posting again!! As a designer & seamstress this was very pleasant to watch - the video was very soothing and your technique was quite good! Can't wait to (hopefully) see more content!!

That's my fav person on the internet right there
my toxic trait: thinking I can do this for my very first sewing project despite not picking up a needle since highschool
You can absolutely do anything you put your mind to :)
missed you!! love watching yr vids during this time of year
I always enjoy how you pay attention to detail, its calming to watch. 🤘
13:19 I came here to finish the edge of my bias tape, thank you.
Simply exquisite, my dear. And such a joy to watch embroidering by candlelight.
Absolutely lovely ❤️ Keep making content that lights you up and don't judge yourself too harshly.
I loved that video! I'm just discovering your channel with it, and I find it's so cute, relaxing and helpful! I'm in the process of creating my own corsets and, even if I'm doing them with a machine, your video is so helpful! Thank you! 💕🌼
I always get so happy when you upload
this is exactly the kind of inspiration i needed in my life right now~
we need more videos like yours ahhh 🍂🤎
Loved this!! Inspired me to want to start hand sewing😊
You are back! Welcome back Kenna 💙
