Northstar Enduro | California Enduro Series 2022 | Stages 1-3

This weekend we traveled to Truckee, California for the California Enduro Series stop at Northstar Bike Park! The tracks were running incredibly rough as our Expert class was the 5 or 6th group of the day to go down each track.
Although the stages were taped horribly, the two day event was full of good vibes, warm weather and dust!

So I'm racing North Star Enduro this year and I was wondering, did you run any inserts? I used to run cushcore with exo casing Maxxis but recently switched to continental DH casing tires (Which is more like DD in Maxxis terms) It's been working well but not sure if I should add cushcore just for this race. last time I was here I dinged up my wheels good just riding. Maybe add Cushcore trail? Also, how did you place? Expert Cat yeah?

Id recommend running an insert for sure. Last year I had to run an entire stage on a Minesweeper insert after busting my tire within a quarter mile of the stage start. Flatting on a stage without an insert will ruin your entire race. Even with that I was able to finish 4th overall in the Cat 1 30+ class

@@gnarkillMTB Great, I will get some Cushcore trail to not make the bike to heavy. I have DT Swiss EX511's so they are real tough just by themselves.

Nice run!! That spot up on top where you said "what the f*** is all of this" I ended up starting to the left, then had to come to a full stop and go right. It was only my 2nd time down that trail. Next time I'll get more practice but it seemed like they could have marked to course better for practice, Good enough for 3rd in sport 50+, at least.
